Why don't all stores hand out tickets for the high dollar value items that are limited (Ipods, TVs, cameras, etc)? Is it really that much more trouble to do this and then have people come into the store somewhat relaxed instead of running each other over? I never did understand that.

I am overseas in Germany...and our German stores were packed yesterday ON Thanksgiving (guess the Germans start early). I was able to get everything on our list online (we are also 6 hours ahead of East Coast)...lots of online stores doing before BF deals too this year I noticed...combine that with googled coupon codes....I saved lots. I'm going to head over to the Stuttgart PX and see what's going on there...lots of folks yesterday did say they were going...mostly for the camera deals and the laptop...honestly, most of the community was going ga-ga over the midnight showing of New Moon. Update, I'm back a few hours later after going at 11am....PX was just like any other day....still had some of their BF flat screen TVs available...only thing I noticed that was all gone were the digital camera deals. I bought a portable DVD player for $129 dual voltage, plays old games w/controller and picks up local TV signals with case and accessories. No waiting in line, walked right up to check out. I heard they opened up at 5am.

Darn....I ordered an Ultra on AAFES cause I had a 20% off code...guess I need to take it back and wait and see if i can find the HD one at a reduced price...should've known better! Thanks for the "push"!

I am struggling with which one to get....so far, I have only seen deals for the second generation regular Flip. Would you go ahead and get the deal for the regular one and not go for the HD metallic version which I think is almost $100 more (and I haven't seen advertised for Black Friday yet)....

I will check Dell out...I'm going to have to pass on the eee pc...need to be able to put music, videos, etc on there...it's cute though...

Yes, I was looking for external. This same hard drive was around $80 a few weeks ago...I just can't bring myself to pay almost $40 more for it! Guess I will be waiting some more...

for under $100...I know, I know, there were some deals on Black Friday but my poor neighbor actually got run over at Target before she could get one for each of us. I've perused the ads already up....I don't know if it's me...but I am seeing no real big deals there? Just minimal savings, really...most of that stuff, you can already find online at those prices...what will be the biggest deal this year (remember the laptops and HD 32" TVs last year?)? Just wondering if I am missing something...

I used to think the prices were great too for LTD...until I noticed how almost every time, they would ship things separately. For example, I recently ordered: Halloween Clock price $6.95 sounds cheap right? Then .83 tax and $4.85 shipping and handling. In the same order I had the following two items, and they shipped them separately (and charged me for shipping every time). So typically, I would pay the amount the items cost with a check, then they would ship and bill me for the shipping, each time a package arrived (the bill would be in with the merchandise): Christmas DVDs price $22.95 tax $2.00 ship and handling $5.61 Two chop wizards price $29.90 tax $2.51 and ship $5.96 I can bet you, when I ordered these things and if I had known that the total shipping would be over $15, I would've never ordered!
