  1. Thank you so much cjdav and Sunni0913 for our gifts! They really brightened our day. Mom has long ago eaten all her goodies. Which tells you how happy she was to receive them. She still has 1/2 of the coconuts chapstick left though. She is enjoying that!

Cjdav, I am so sorry but I have not yet opened my gifts. I know 1/2 the fun is seeing the person's reaction. But my box is at home and I am stuck at mom's. She will not follow directions and does what she wants. (Like twisting on the toilet and pulling on the counter with her good arm to get off the toilet.) She is a fall risk until we get this dumb cast off. I will try to get them open when I can. But thank you again. The kitten loves the toys and that is good enough for me right now.

That's good enough for me, too!  Take care of your mom.  She's lucky to have you!

  2. If you look at the ad on walmart.com and hover over an item, an Item Details button pops up. This is what it says for both the Instant Pot Duo 6-quart and the Instant Brands Ace Blender:

So, both items should be available online, from what I'm seeing.

    Thank you!

  3. Unless I am missing where it reads 'in store only' (which would not be a surprise), does it look like everything is offered online?  I think I might want the Instant Pot and Instant Pot Cooking blender for $49 for myself and as gifts for others.

  4. I know!  I asked on here a few years ago about a line from a Christmas song. I can only partly remember the one line, and can't for the life of me figure out the song.  It's bothered me for years, and every year I try searching online and it's never there.

It was a cowboy Christmas song, and the cowboy was out on the road and afraid he wouldn't make it home in time for Christmas. Santa finds him and says something to the effect of "Don't worry, partner, your house is on my way. And if you can hold on for 8 seconds, that's all it takes to get there on a sleigh".  I'm starting to think I made it up. If it's not on the internet, I must have, right? LOL

**Also, the results of this search are not always safe for work!  :eyepoppin  :gdblush:

I think this is it!  https://www.azlyrics.com/lyrics/claywalker/cowboychristmas.html

  5. I just got home and my ss gift was waiting outside my door! I opened it (of course) and could not be more thrilled with my gifts. The book is one I have not yet read, but, is on my list. The dog treats, saint cards, socks and chocolate are all things I would have bought myself. I sincerely appreciate the thought and consideration that went in to these purchases. Merry Christmas.post-92097-0-04233100-1544410923_thumb.jpg

  6. I'm so surprised that there was no subsequent ad released.  The ad here and on their site does not even list the time the store opens or any other info. I really thought another ad was coming that would include more (much more!).   Really disappointing.

  7. Answer : Thomas Edison

Question : When did outdoor Christmas lights begin.

Answer: I hope this still counts as I cheated and looked it up!  Either 1880 with Thomas Edison's first outdoor light display or 1890 with first strings of lights mass produced and sold.

Question:  Who is credited with creating the first Nativity scene (creche)?
