Still, i'm excited to get mine. It will take a couple weeks, since they aren't in stock right now. But Amazon has always been pretty good on getting things to me in a timely fashion and I am patient. Now i've been pondering whether I should pull the trigger and get that Archos AV700 at buy.com too.

The price on this changes by the hour. I got it on 11/30 at around 6pm for $1279.99. The price goes up and down. For what reason, I don't know. It then went back up to $1349.99. Now it's back down to $1299.99. So, if you watch it frequently, it might drop back again. You just gotta order immediately.

If I have to wait in line at BestBuy, I am bringing Tequila in a sports bottle. That, and my video ARCHOS player to watch some TV shows I need to catch up on. But i'm not really that worried. If I don't feel like doing it or if it's crazier than I think, i'll just spend the extra 178 dollars and get my plasma at Circuit City. It's not that big a difference. I can afford it.

Well, I seriously doubt people will start lining up here at 9pm. At our local Wal-Mart last Thursday, there were 3 tents out in front of the store with a couple people in 'em for the PS3 launch. There couldn't have been anymore than 5-10 people in the entire line. That was about 2pm on Thursday. At that time in other cities, according to the news, the lines were hundreds deep. People around here just aren't the type to wait in line. I guess I have the same mentality. Cause if it looks like i'll have to wait a real long time, i'm likely to just spend the extra 180 or so dollars and get my plasma at Circuit City. I remember my brother going to Walmart early on Black Friday 3 or 4 years ago to get those DVD players which, at the time, were cheap for 50 bucks. I think he only went like less than an hour before Walmart opened and he still got 3 of them. I don't think much has changed around here in the past few years. People didn't line up the night before then and I don't think they will now. Conversly, I don't think that Toshiba laptop is so great. The specs on it are not that good. It doesn't even have a DVD burner. And i'd want more than 512 MB of memory if I were to get a new laptop. Thats the amount I've had for the past 2 years and I can tell you, it's not enough.

Where do all you people live that you are saying get to Best Buy by like 4pm or 8pm on Thursday? I live in a MD suburb of DC and I just can't see anyone around here standing in line that long for anything. Heck, even at the local Walmart on Thursday afternoon a week ago, there was only a very few people in line for the PS3, when on the news I saw people in other cities waiting in line for days. Most people around here have a lot of money and if they don't, like to pretend they have a lot of money. I can't imagine people will be lining up that early here. But I think i'll go ask the Best Buy store that's down the street. It probabaly helps that there are at least 8 Best Buy stores within 20-30 miles of where I live. Best Buy is really oversaturated here in MD.
