I think it is a question of not meeting production goals. They wanted to have 4 million worldwide by the end of 2006. Based on the US numbers it does not look like they reached that goal.

Wii Seeker(www.ps3seeker.com/wii) has rumors of Best Buy holding them until Jan 15th.

When did you reserve the Wii at Walmart? Are most Walmarts allowing reservations?

There are decently reliable rumors of Best Buy having a shipment arriving in stores at the end of the week and probably being sold on Sunday the 31st.

This might be a little off-topic, but do the electronics stores have after christmas sales? I am looking for a laptop. The Microcenter laptop is a great deal, but I really want one with firewire. If there are not any better deals, I might buy it and save up for an Apple.

Has anyone seen the December 17th - 24th ad? Does it have Wiis?

\ It will of course depend on your area, but I think it will not require camping out. I would get to the store of your choice 2 to 2.5 hours before opening. I think the crowds will spread out because most of the places will be opening at 8 am. Usually it has been just target that has opened that early and the rest of the places have opened at 9 or 10. The lines should be shorter, but unlike the other weekends you will pretty much have only one shot.

I got to the Wal Mart in Fairfax, Virginia at 5:45, which I knew was a long shot. The had 30 consoles(had passed out tickets) and 60 people in line. And they were not selling until 8 am. I estimate it would have taken getting there at 4:30 to be successful.

How much is the shipping on the bundle?

It says that it does not ship until 12/18. Will the whole bundle get held up for the pre-order games?

Do you know the Target code for the Wii? One of the Targets near me lets you enter the code into the price checker and it tells you if they have the item in the storeroom. I am sure they are holding it until Sunday, but I might be able to find out how many. Apparently the code is different from the UPC code.

So it looks like the next Guaranteed Wiis are Sunday. Has anyone seen ads for Best Buy or Target or Wal Mart for 12/3? I saw the ad for Walmart that mentions 12/6 on digg. How long do people think the wait will be for the different stores? In the DC area it seems that a couple of hours gives you a good chance to get one.

Does the Walmart open at midnight? If it opens in the morning, I think a couple of hours before opening should be early enough.
