  1. LOL...and the nutjobs are out. I was gobsmacked when I put on my indicator to park in an empty spot next to fat guy loading his truck with 2 carts. I waited since I didn't want to disturb him, he repaid my kindness by taking his 2 shopping carts and dumping them in the space I was waiting for.

The kicker....on the other side of that EMPTY space was the trolley bay AND this place is notorious for lack of parking. 3 little steps would have obviously placed too much strain on his overburdened heart. I just drove to the end of parking lot and parked elsewhere. I wasn't in the mood to start an argument by trying to educate him.

I so hate when they do that. It only takes a few extra minutes to put the cart in the cart thingy! Nothing makes me madder than coming out of a store finding a cart next to my vehicle. I love my car, and I don't want dings on my car , because people are too lazy to walk a couple extra steps. Sorry didn't mean to get off topic.

  2. There were so many teenagers "hanging out" at the mall on BF, it just made me mad. Mad because they were not with their parents, they weren't shopping, they were just hanging out, basically in the way. Hanging out in front of the stores, standing in groups, and it was already crowded. Who drops their kid off at the mall at midnight to hang out???

Anthony Hardwick says he resents working at Target on Thanksgiving and has garnered more than 37,000 signatures on an online protest petition.

Target, Macy's, Gap, Kohl's, Toys "R" Us and Best Buy plan to open at midnight or earlier on Thanksgiving in an attempt to goose sales that the National Retail Federation says may rise 2.8 percent this holiday season, or about half as much as last year.

Hardwick, 29, who says he has been a Target parking attendant in Omaha for three years, began the petition two weeks ago on the website Change.org after learning that he and his coworkers would be required to start at 11 p.m. Nov. 24 for a 10-hour shift.

  4. Sounds like a great deal for Walmart. They get people to buy more than they can afford. At the same time they will make millions if not billions in extra fees from customers.

Maybe I'm just a bit cynical. I just don't see the point, I think they are just targeting cash strapped families that can't manage their money. As a result many families will have a little less at christmas time. As far as hiding presents from the kids, you still have to pick them up before christmas and hide them for a short while so I don't see the benefit.

I'm suprised that a site so dedicated to saving money has so many eager to pay additional fees.

I'm sure your Mom told you, that if you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all..................this is one of those times!

  5. No thoughts or comments on their return policy, except for 30 days. On another note, you'll enjoy the shopping experience. They've changed up the layout over the years, but they still have a LARGE selection of Christmas decorations.
  6. My DD is 17, will be 18 in Dec. Even though she knows, she's still in bed before 10 on Christmas Eve, and still wakes up early on Christmas morning to open her gifts. She gives me her list, but just because it's on the list doesnt mean she's getting it. So it's exciting to see her face on Christmas.

The one thing that made me mad about her finding out........was the kids at school! Just because your kids don't believe don't spoil it for other kids that do. My DD believed until 6th grade.
