  1. Just opened the paper and our BestBuy has the same ad as posted. I bought the 51" Hitachi widescreen from Sears 4 days ago hoping that it would be on sale here. Well, now I get the TV for $699 plus an additional $25.00 off because Sears takes an additional 10% off the difference. So I got it for $675.00. And no waiting in line!!!!!!! Sold my other TV for $400 yesterday so I really only had to fork out $275 for my new 51" HDTV!!! Is it time to eat yet??
  2. Ron:

Wal-mart is actually going to be offering a RCA 52" widescreen hdtv for only $474 as one of the secret 8 sales, maybe you might wanna check that out.

Good luck to ya!! I don't have enough posts to include a url so I removed the http://www. so that you could still get the link, you'll just have to make sure and add the important stuff to it.

I looked at the RCA and it's no where near as good as the Hitachi. But thanks!!!!!

  3. I just bought one 4 days ago. I bought it at Sears so I could get the price match and an additional 10% off the difference. I'm running a crappy 4 year old satellite receiver with no HD and running through S-video. I looks good but you can't get the true potential out of a TV like this unless your running the latest boxes and either through component or HDMI. Regardless of features missing this model was just released in April of this year. So everything is up to date on it as far as optics and firmware. Look at this TV at Best Buy in store. The picture is just as good as the $2,000 Sony WEGA and Bravia's. DLP has a little better picture but you just doubled the price. I can't wait to get my HD installed.....
  4. Same here!!! These are just crap. I bought one for my daughter and took it back 5 hours later. All it does is ask for food. Every damn 5 minutes "Mommy, I'm hungry". And the food for it is expensive. My daughter said "Daddy, I don't like that baby". She has a $10.00 doll that my mom gave here and loves it. It doesn't even do anything.
  5. I have been doing a lot of thinking about the best way to get a good deal on the Hitachi 51" HDTV in Best Buys ad. So I noticed that Sears had the same TV for sale in their Black Friday ad too. So I went to Sears and looked around at the TV's. I asked the sales clerk about their price matching. 30 days from the time of purchase. Also I asked if it included Black Friday. As long is the sale is longer than 5 hours and it is at an actual store not online. I had her confirm this with a manager and got both their names. So in addition to the price match, they will take 10% of the difference too. So the Best buy ad says $699 and theirs say $849, the difference is $150. So I would save an additional $15.00. So the price of the TV came to be $685 for a 51" HDTV. Now I know it's rear projection but I just sold my 43" Hitachi for $400 and it wasn't even HDTV ready or wide screen. So after the $400.00 off that I paid $285.00 for it. I can live with rear projection TV until the 60" plasmas get a little cheaper. So I bought it today and will be here Thursday. Now I hope the sale is in my area or my wife is going to blow a gasket.......
  6. I bought one for my daughter and took it back the same day. They are junk. The ask to be fed every 15 minutes and don't quit. We went through the baby food in 1 hour. You put the food in it's mouth and wash it down with water. Then you have to change the diaper. Save your money....
  7. In Illinois we got a different ad than what was posted for bb

Yes, I live in the Quad Cities too!!!! I waited in line for 6 hours and when I asked for the laptop in the BF ad they didn't know anything about it. Damn, that pissed me off.
