  1. I looked at the one Best Buy has for $50 and wasn’t impressed with the quality.

Walmart is going to have one for $59 that’s a different style. It’s for Walmart only and I can’t seem to find reviews.

  2. I’m thinking of getting the Gourmia 6qt that Best Buy will have for $49.99. I want one with a larger surface space but cheap lol. Looks like there are various accessories I could eventually add from Amazon.

    Anyone have a Gourmia?

  3. It's not movies, but if you have a streaming device (I have a Roku), on the History Channel app you can watch Christmas Through The Decades. You can watch the 60's, 70's, and 80's without a login, but to watch the 90's you need your sign in for cable or whatever. Its a really good documentary much in the vein of I Love the 80's and similar shows.

Speaking of streaming devices, on the Crackle app, they have Lethal Weapon as well as a few other Christmas movies. There are also a few other niche Christmas apps on the Roku that shows Christmas specials and such.

Thanks! I just looked for this and have it now.

  4. Finally got our tree up. More basic decorations this year. Only used about 1/3 of our ornaments, no garland, and now I see the topper is crooked. I’m thinking a second and maybe 3rd tree will be in our future for next year.

  6. I waited until everything had been open for a few hours before heading out.

Shopko- $30 sound bar. Didn't have to wait in line.

    Walmart-$39 blu-ray player, 4 $5 board games. 3rd in line.

TRU- 2 of the $5 board games. 2nd in line

Walgreens for the itunes deal. 2nd in line.

Today I'm hoping to go to Play it Again Sports and maybe Harbor Freight.

I didn't plan on the blu-ray player but they had a lot when I walked by and I've wanted to replace our regular dvd player for some time. My 23 yr old son is the one who asked for board games this year and the sound bar. So he's pretty much the reason I went out. Nothing was must have.

Although I miss the 4am/5am openings I was glad to be home by 8pm and in bed by 10. We didn't have our Thanksgiving yesterday because of schedules so ours will be on Sunday. I might not have gone out at all if we did it yesterday.

  7. I ran errands today and saw it at almost every store. I think $5 is ridiculous. Especially since stores pay to have the ad in the paper. Our subscription rate even went up this month. Probably to cover that.

Did you happen to see a Stein's ad?

  8. My oldest who's 23 now came with me when he was 12 but he was as tall as me then. I think he only came twice. The second time he might have been 15 or 16.

I won't bring my other kids. I don't like bringing them when I have regular shopping, I'm not bringing them on Black Friday lol. Whether on Black Friday or a regular day if people bring their kids I just wish they would keep an eye on them. One of my biggest pet peeves is unsupervised kids. I avoid Target because of this. It seems to be the norm here for people to use their strollers as shopping carts and the kids wander around. Especially young ones that are just learning to walk.

  9. Photo album with lots of family pictures.

Meal / food delivery. Jams, fruits etc.

Magazine subscription with the current one wrapped.

Nice clock, home decor, personalized calendar.

    Gloves, scarf, hat.

An experience. Tickets to a play, movie, or other local event. Even high schools put on plays for reasonable prices.
