  1. We always buy them one huge gift and a lot of filler. Last year, we got the boys computers. We will also take them shopping for clothes a few weeks b4 xmas and let them pick out all of their clothes. I do not pick out clothes for them anymore (teenagers). We wrap all of their clothes they pick out. We also give them both 50-100 dollars a piece depending on their grades. Other things may be a cheap mp3 player, anything w/their favorite sports team, etc. This year will be a bit tougher though, my oldest is a senior in H.S. and anyone who has had one, knows how expensive that is.
  2. My husband does. I am always off thanksgiving and BF. We'll hit the sale w/ the highest ticket item first. TV, computers, etc. We'll get those and my DH will take those items home and lock them in his man cave. I will go back in and look for the smaller items and then head off to the other sales.
  3. I have been doing BF since 1996, the year of the great Nintendo 64 throw down. I was hooked. I have friends who ask me how I can still do this. I tell them that I can knock out most of my shopping on this day for just a fraction of the price. The secret is to take someone you can lift just in case. lol. I found this site last year. How I wish I had found it earlier. Last year, I stood in wal mart for 2.5 hours w/my hands on 2 computers for my boys. They had the cops standing their w/all of us at the computers. I felt so sorry for the guy who had to come out and cut the plastic on the pallet. He practically had to run for his life to get out of there. The cops were of no use once that plastic came off. They just stood and watched the melee (sp?).
  4. Reading all the post BF threads on here and it seems a lot aren't very happy with the way it went this year. Most seem to be upset because more people got in line early before them and they couldn't get what they wanted. Was there as many people complaining about this last year or is it on a larger scale this year?

Last year was my first BF. I went to walmart about 3 hours before opening and stood in line for the laptop. I was one of the last people to get one, even though there should have been about 8 behind me who got one, people up front had brought friends and family in at the last minute. This year I went to CC around 7:30, was 3rd in line, and camped out til 5am. I had a much better time this year.

At my local Wal Mart, it was different. Since they had no layaway, there were not as many people as there usually are. I got my PCs and Printers. DH brought his pick up and took them home. I then went back in and got all of the other stuff that was on my list.
