I'm deployed this year so my shopping was done online. Got an Antec 900 computer case for 60 bucks with free shipping from Newegg and a Western Digital 1TB External Hard drive from Best Buy with free shipping to my APO address(SWEET!). My mom said she went out though. Haven't heard how it went.

Wish they had an eSATA Western Digital 1TB included in this instead of the elements one. Might pick up the Antec case. That was the case I was originally going to get when I built my dektop in January this past year.

 

YEY! Got the go ahead from the wife to buy the case. Thank God for being able to text message through email while I'm overseas...lol

Fedex is one of the most UNORGANIZED places I've ever seen!

 

I just had a fedex truck show up five minutes ago with one lone little bubble envelope from circuit city. 5 minutes (no lie it was really about 5 minutes later) another fedex truck shows up with one of the two packages from circuit city that tracking shows is in fort worth tx.

 

So here I sit awaiting yet ANOTHER fedex truck with my last package from circuit city.

 

 

How crazy is that? Unorganized beyond belief!

Were the packages sent via different fedex shipping methods...like one fedex ground and another fedex express? I've noticed this on base. Waiting for something from fedex to arrive and the fedex ground truck didn't have anything for me, but the express truck did.

[So, was it worth it?]

It was worth it in the end for me. Didn't get the TV I originally wanted on Black Friday, but I ended up getting one on Saturday at the AAFES BX on base. The BX opened an hour before I thought it was supposed to on Friday, but I went there on Saturday when they opened just to see what they had and they had a 52" Sharp Aquos LCD HDTV for $1599. So yeh I'm happy after being pissed on Friday. The TV I missed out on was only a 42" tv.

There's no way I could have camped out all night tonight. The forecasted low here is 8 degress. So I scaled back the plan to camp out at BB and decided to stay on base and go to the BX on base. They did have a story on the 9pm news about people waiting at BB. One guy they interviewed had been there since 8am and is buying the laptop. They all looked COLD!!!

 

This is in Rapid City, South Dakota BTW.

Wish I would have seen that deal earlier. Well I'm just waiting until our bx opens so me and thw wife can go get the laptop and the tv. Don't even know if ours is opening at 6am or not.

I will be going to the BX here on base. It will be the only place the wife an I will go to. Buying the $799 Sharp HDTV and the Compaq laptop. Those two items are the only items worth going out on BF. All of the other stores will be way to busy for me to handle.

Just picked up the BF ad from our BX here at Ellsworth. That Sharp TV deal is really good. I'm definitely getting the Compaq Laptop since the wife needs one and may just buy that Sharp. Have the same tv only it's 26" in the living room right now.
