Last year, I price matched b/c of this site. I didn't believe it when i read about price matching here. I thought for sure it wouldn't work.
CC had the 1080p Aquas on sale for $1200. Sears was running the 780p for $999. I sent my hubby to Sears (CC is an hour away) at 4am to get the 780p. He stood in line, but by the time he got there, they were out already.
Sooooooooo, after reading about price matching I decided to ask them later that morning when I was in Sears getting some other stuff. They said sure...not only that, but when Sears price matches, they take off an additional 10%. So, I got the better TV for $1099!!!!!
I was so happy, and recommend pming to EVERYONE!!!

I have to thank you guys!!! I would never have even considered PMing. And actually, I didn't believe it was going to work. My DH went to Sears at 4:30 this morning and waited to get the $999 Sharp. There was a woman in front of him in line that took 13 min!!!!!!!!!! No one in line behind her got what they were waiting for.
So, my mom and I were picking up an ipod case around noon and I decided to ask about PMing the Sharp 1080p. It was crazy cause the morning sale was coming to an end. The guy said they could PROBABLY do it. I told him I'd come back later. Still all the while thinking in my head there was NO WAY they would really give me $1200 off.
So, after napping, I went back around 6pm. I asked the clerk, and still wasn't convinced it was going to work.
With in 10 min, I'd purchased the TV at the CC price + 10%!!!
You guys ROCK!!!

When Sears does their price match - they also take off an extra 10% of the difference between the prices.
Fairlight, this is the response I got. Makes perfect sense.
Does anyone know if you can get the 10% off when using a Sears card. I saw online that they were doing that if you used it, anyone know?

I'm waiting for this one too. It'll be my first time at Fred Meyer on a BF, but we all need socks this year, so I'm going to check that out.
Do you need to get there early for the socks, can I make it a later stop and still get some? What's the deal on pillows? Also half off like the socks?
Well, the socks really depend. We went to FM second last year, after we were done at walmart. We didn't get there until 6 or so, and there were plenty of socks left. The year before, they were so stinkin' picked over by 6, it was crazy!
Pillows are generally 50% off too. As are towels.

Anyone heard anything about Fred Meyer yet? We always hit the sock and pillow sale first thing, but i wanna know what else they've got going on :)
