  1. #1 - Oh Dear, what is the matter, there are 150 geeks in front of me, and am standing here just so I can report back to Brad, that I got my $99 tv!

    #2 - What!?! - The memo was a joke - I wasn't supposed to wear YELLOW today?

#3 - I gave up going hunting with my buddies to stand here to get my old lady that damn door buster item, I should of just read Brad's Gotta Deal Forum!

  2. I tried it a few months back, what a waste of 29.99 bucks! The beginner room that you must enter makes it look like you can actually win on things, but basically all you win are more bids to lose on other things you try for. I really felt like it was a gambling site, with my money and nothing to show for it. I rather bid on ebay and lose and not lose my money! There is another site like that, but at least the bids are 25 cents and somehow it goes to charity (supposedly?).. My advice is I am staying away from them! I have better luck with this forum!
  3. I started my 8 year old with a simple mp3 player, which than we loaded it with all those disney cd tracks. When she turned 10 she got an ipod (not a touch one) but not just the shuffle, the kind that you can pick your songs by scrolling for them. Is your daughter responsible not to drop and crack the screen or get scratches on it. I would wait.. It makes a better gift when they go into middle school... good luck they grow up so quickly.. keep them young.:)
  4. i have a 12-year-old still asking for another doll. She has 6 of them, her grandparents buy them for xmas gift each year. Some days we don't see her playing with them, but others days for weeks she plays with them, I say keep them young and let her play with them versus the video games... It's fun to have American Girl Sleep overs too! :)
  5. I brought my dd to the new store in Natick,MA during xmas vacation, we got there about half hour it opened, and stood in the cold for 30 minutes to get inside... 3 Tips: - Once inside or before ask the doorman where the hair studio is located in the store - go directly to it! There is another line - another 20 minutes to give your old doll a new hairdo, or ears pierced, but they say come back because they queue them up.. we waited 3 and half hours (lucky for my darling dd's) I was in a good mood and we went into the mall and had lunch! Came back, and the hair stylist will brush out your doll's hair and put a bow in, but they don't tell you - you have to pay the slip at another long line at the cashiers before they release the doll (makes sense). It was worth it to see my dd's faces, especially since it took 25 minutes to brush out Kaya's knots :cheesy:... the look on the lady's face was priceless to see kaya's hair! Tip #2 - The store did not have everything - they ran out - didn't have newest dolls - Hello? Tip#3 - Enjoy the day, it is cheaper than airplane trip and my 10-year-old loved it! :) - Only young once!
  6. I think there is some difference in the wii version vs. the ps2 version. But I could be wrong:

Wii - wireless Les Paul guitar, ability to sync your scores on the guitarhero.com site, and online play.

PS2 - wireless Kramer guitar, unable to sync with guitarhero.com, and no online play.

The PS2 does have guitar hero 1 and 2, so once you sons finish guitar hero 3, you can always buy the older ones for more games, but I am sure they will eventually come out for the Wii, since it seems to be selling well.

It was also anounced that the Wii version would have downloadable songs later this year(February-March)

I have the Wii version, and find it a lot of fun. I enjoy playing online because I only have one guitar(they do not sell a separate guitar yet for the wii - coming at the end of January).

and playing with other people is a blast!

    Hope this helps

My DD got wii quitar hero iii for xmas, how does she play online? Any help would be appreciative, point me to a site, explain, anything.. thanks!

  7. OMG - I thought I was the only one who did this. I have to rush home from Target to hide all my bags in my closet or attic - I even forget what I have bought sometimes.....I get the Target speech every couple of months too! You can't even open my closet without something falling on your head and heaven forbid he might need to go in the attic for something.......:eyepoppin

This happens to me all the time! My dh sees the white and red bags, says we have too much stuff, where are we going to put it. I can't resist getting the bratz bus for $18.00 when it was $79.99 at xmas. It's a snow day, where are the dd's upstairs playing with it! :cheesy:

  8. What about Power Rangers, or Teddy Ruskin that talking bear? Anyone remember Bradlees toy sale -50% off Lego Building Sets. We wait outside in the cold for 6AM, doors open and everyone run pushing the carts down to the toys. Mom's grabbing Lego Building sets... I've been doing Black Friday for 25 years, my husband calls me nuts, but just knowing i'm getting a bargain! :cheesy:
  9. I have to agree with you Ubberfemme my daughter is the same way. Everything is either Hanna Montanna and High School Musical. I actually lucked out this past Saturday and was able to get her tickets to the concert here in December. Her dad was going to go too but they could not get 3 seats together so it will just be me and my daughter. Should be alot of fun, I am really looking forward to it. This is her first concert.

Lucky you, for getting the Hannah Montana Tickets. Could sell them and pay for all your xmas gifts for this year and next! All sold out here in NE!

  10. Be careful when ordering online. Do not enter the number in yellow on the back of your American Girl Catalog, as it will overlay this discount code and you will not get the $10. But, if you call Customer Service they will help. (one less step). My DD will love Emily...
  11. My nephews in CA want it, with my sister being a single mom, I bought it off ebay with free shipping, the lady couldn't of made more than $50 profit, with ebay fees & paypal fees, free shipping, 3yr warranty ($29), and to top it of a elmo t.m.x ($39). So, yeah i spent a little more than buying from BM, but I don't have to stand in line! And, I supported another Ebay seller, Postal Service and gave my sister have a little joy in her life, letting her give her kids a great gift, it keeps everyone happy! Happy Holidays! I saved $$ by shipping to CA from MA! and my sis is returning elmo with to the store to get a game for wii.... Cheers!
