  1. I'd say go with the Intel one. The dual core chips will make a difference in the programs you want to use.
  2. However, you will not be able to use songs downloaded from Itunes on anything besides you computer and an Ipod. Other players aren't allowed to support the format. Though there is a program out there that will let you convert the songs to another format.
  3. The warranty doesn't go into effect until the Compaq warranty runs out. And then it is good for two years. They said it will cover anything. Even if a power surge kills it. It cost 69 dollars. Don't know if you can get it afterward.
  4. I thought that any computer that came with either Xp Pro or Media Center was going to be able to get a free upgrade to Vista? And there's nothing that comes with it about upgrading? Bummer. I put mine on layaway. So I haven't had a chance to look at it. I was tempted to buy it outright. But I'm getting it for my wife and have been putting money aside. I figured I'd get one on BF until I saw that one on sale. So I didn't have enough money without taking more out of the bank and possibly raising my wife's suspicions! LOL!
  5. I personally prefer CC over BB. A few years back we bought a tv there. Brought it home and threw out the box since we had a small place at the time. A few weeks later the tv went bad. Return it to BB where they charged me 18.00 because it didn't have a box. How long do other people usually keep a box for? I bought a laptop cooler at CC that died after a few weeks. Brought it back without a box and got it exchanged with no problems. Another time I went to BB to get some laptop memory on sale. Only problem was, they didn't bother marking it down in the store. So unless you asked you wouldn't know it was there.
  6. I guess I was one of the lucky ones. My Staples had a short line. After doing Wal-Mart and BestBuy I went to Staples. They weren't even open yet and there was only a short line. Bought myself a nice Dvd-rw for around 20 dollars. I was surprised by the good deals and short line! Definately check it out again this year!
