  1. Just clipped this off the webpage again. I hope this works for those looking. I know my 4 yr old DD will be very happy after the BF disappointment.

  2. I've had a Samsung DLP for over 2 years. This thing is on all of the time, plus used regularly for the Wii. I have young children that turn it on and off. I have never had a problem (knock on wood) and have not replaced the bulb. It is very light (56" and weighs about 32lbs.). Our new house has a spot that screams for a wall-mounted LCD, but I am going to stay with the DLP for now.
  3. Another consideration is to get it directly from the Apple site. Free Shipping, plus free engraving. While new for 16GB is $299, you can get a refurbished one for $219.

Since it is refurbished by Apple, it has the same warranty as new. I have purchased 2 refurbs from Apple and they have worked perfectly. The package was standard cardboard, but everything else (software, headphones, cords, etc.) packaged as new.

    Just a thought...

  4. We switched from Sam's to Costco 6 or 7 years ago and have not looked back. This past year we upgraded to the Executive Membership ($100 vs. $50 per year) but given our volume (2% cash back) and the better coupons/sales, we have more than made up the difference. I would only recommend the upgrade if you buy by heavy volume.
  5. We also took back a number of duplicate items (sans gift receipts) to Target and TRU from the in-laws. Got the sale/clearance prices in store credit, which had to be less than they were purchased.

The items with the higher value, but not really what the kids wanted, were torn into immediately by the in-laws....boxes destroyed as though opened by jackals...and no longer returnable.

Just give gift receipts...please...andthe world would be a better place. ;)

  6. Sorry to hear about your PM issue at WalMart. The guy in my local electronics dept (Andy) and the manager were awesome. They let me PM the GBA SP and a number of games and movies. They even let a few people in line with me use my CC add to price match for themselves.

While I am admittedly not a Wal-Mart fan (typically) service like this will make me rethink that in the future.

Andy is a credit to service at a time when chaos was all around (minutes before the 5am Black Friday launch, where people were throwing elbows!!)
