We're headed to our 2nd BF event. It's now a ritual for my wife and I. Well....more for her of course. But like others have said...with the CDN $ about parity...i'm thinking i may be spending more. We're going to do the drive down to Philly and hit that area and visit some friends. We've got our hotel rooms booked and will be leaving T.O @ 8pm Thursday! THank goodness for Pricline! :)

Yup. I know. I've been working long hours and not paying enough attention to the wife. So this is a way to partially make up. Take her shopping. Our first BF in the US. :) Going to go to Grove City first. That's why we want to see what's the best time to get there to avoid fighting for parking (we're thinking 9am still ok?). Then after that, we'd go to Rochester to take in some sights and get settled and possibly go to a mall in the area. Stay a night in Rochester and then go to the Waterloo,NY outlet mall the next morning. More shopping for the wife. So i got a basic plan of where we'd like to go. Well...i'm the driver, she's the shopper.

Use Priceline. Do some research (e.g. google for priceline tips) and then take a chance. Sure you don't really know what you're going to get ... but you'll definitely save some money. We used Priceline a few nights ago. Tried to get the Doubletree in south Rochester but apparantly the whole hotel is sold out. We ended up getting downtown Rochester for a pretty decent price. So...there are ways to save hotel money b/c you'd rather use that money on shopping instead of sleeping! :) Just don't go below 2.5 stars or you'll end up at a smaller hotel/motel like place. The wife and I are also thinking of going to Grove City!!! :) it'll be our first BF since we'll be coming from Toronto, Canada. :) We don't dare try to get to Best Buy or Walmart b/c we'd probably be 200th in line or something. So we'd try the outlet mall. Is it that bad first thing in the morning (from the previous poster)? We were thinking of getting there around 9am .. depending on traffic on the highways. If anyone had any past experience....is it bad at that time? Afterward, we were thinking of driving to Rochester to do some tourist things and possibly go to a shopping mall. And i hope that the craziness will be over by the time we get to Rochester. Cheers!

Hello! I'm new here and just reading the posts. I've seen people post about outlet malls and BF and it seems to me that the consensus is that it is not the first place people would go to. People would rather hit up Walmart or Target or Best Buy. Any comments? Also...If we were to go to an outlet mall, (Grove city is the closest), what would be the best time? Cheers!
