  1. I am just not impressed either. I *may* go to ON and see how many people are in line for the Mario game, but other than that. Nothing, I am not going out Black Friday shopping this year. I was super excited for it, but I have soured seeing how many stores are opening on Thanksgiving evening, sad, I feel bad for the employees and their families. Midnight was okay, but some stores have just gone too far. It is no longer Black Friday shopping, I am staying home and waiting for later in the month of December to finish up my shopping.
  2. At my Target yesterday... Backpacks and lunchboxes were 30% off. Odd and end toys ranged from 30-70% off. The brand that has Small pools/slip & slides kinda stuff was 30% off. Intex pools were 70% off, I picked up a 18 ft huge Intex metal pool yesterday (ive been eyeing them). This will replace our 15 ft one... cant wait to set it up and sell my old one on craigslist. :)

FYI... I just have a suggestion if you buy a pool... Make sure there are no leaks, intex warranty wont cover till next season when most people will take them out to use. You need to know now that the pool is good to go!! :)

How much did you get the pool for?? I was hoping to get one this year.
  3. I have my 'master' list pretty much made up, and I have done some shopping, maybe 30% is done. I have pre-ordered a TON of video games, so that is just a matter of waiting for the arrival dates. Both of my kids are really hoping to get a Wii U this year. Not sure if I will be able to get one, but that is what they each want--we shall see on the pre-order situation. My DD is 11 and is getting the new American Girl and my DS 13 is also getting Lego Mindstorm. Coming up with the bigger gifts is the hardest part for me, the smaller items is easy. I am well on my way......
  4. Does Aafes price match? I can't remember.

We are stationed at Ramstein AB in Germany and NO they don't price match. I am not sure why all the AAFES aren't the same. The one in Heidelberg (up the road an hour) does. No reasonable answers either....they just say We don't price match except off the local economy. Great thanks!

  5. I am loving the Target ad and I was SUPPOSED to be done! I guess I have a different definition of done than my hubby! :D

    I am looking to get:

    Christmas Morning Barbie

    Barbie Totally Real Doll House

Littlest Pet Shop Get Better Center

    Remote Control Mustang

    Sonic PS Game

    Star Wars Transformer

    Audio Rocker Chair

Last year, my Target was great, I got everything I went in for and the lines were not bad at all. Hoping for the same again this year. First stop Target, next stop BX to finish up! I should be home by 9. :D

  6. Last year I went to Target first, I LOVED it!! The cashiers were super nice and not all crabby like Walmart. We were just really kinda looking in the electronics dept and a cashier came up to us and asked if we were ready to check out--we are now! The lines up front were CRAZY and we were first in the electronics. I have nothing but praises for Target and will be going there first this year! =0)
  7. I got there this morning at 0605, I was able to walk right in and get EVERYTHING, I mean everything on my list--to include a XBOX 360, I could not beleive I got one, they had 2 left, he just put them out and I saw them and scooped up one, I was soooo glad. He said they were out less than 15 seconds and both were gone. He was the manager and said that was IT until Feb 06!! !!

I was able to check out with everything in electronics all associates were above and beyond nice and helpful. Renewed faith in Target stores.

  8. I am a scrapbooker so I make all my cards, most people get a picture of my kids during an event during the year, this year I took pictures with them and their pumpkins and each person gets a personal note inside the card. Cards take me FOREVER and a day to do, but they are done waiting for Saturday to be mailed out.
  9. I am with the above poster--WHY would you tip for someone doing their job??? My husband is in the Air Force active duty--no one EVER tips him, I think he should qualify for one heck of a tip though.

I don't tip at Christmas, they are doing their jobs, usually nothing more.

I pay for my newspaper, therefore they get paid

I pay my taxes, therefore my mailcarrier gets paid

I pay for my haircut and tip each time, hairdresser (owner) gets paid

    That's how it works.

  10. I made the stockings for my kids so they are wider!! Makes filling them much easier. They usually get Christmas chocolates from England (our love!!), small toys, character tooth brush and toothpaste. Poppers, filled with candy and just fun little toys I would never buy throughout the year, they have a blast playing with them.
