  1. Adhering to the $5 value limit will prevent embarassing moments. Little Joey thinks his $5 puzzle from the dollar store is neat until little cousin Mikey gets a $ 90 trike. How about the embarrased/indignant others who bought you a $5 box of chocolate when you gave them a $100 hunting blind? Do you hate these people? Isn't Christmas about family and good times together? If you want to brag about the great deals you get, do it somewhere else. You should honor the time you spend with your family.
  2. K-mart has all leapfrog software (leappad, leapster, etc) on sale this week buy one, get one 50% off. By the way, if you are going to buy 2 L-max games ($32 each) and 2 regular leapster games ($19 each), expect to pay full price for both L-max games and get the two less expensive games 50% off. If you wan't 50% off the more expensive game, you will need to do a separate purchase of just the expensive ones, then purchase the other ones. My K-mart had some nice games on clearance, too. Wal-mart has math blaster for $11. Costco has the Leapster L-max and either Dora Wild Rescue or Backyardigans for $79 (not L-max games, just regular leapster games)
  3. You will want to try it out soon. I ended up returning both of mine because the picture isn't acceptable. We were very disappointed. But, what do you expect for $25?
  4. The doorbuster gba's will have a special upc #. My WM would not let me use the gba's I had in lay-away, because the upc #'s were different. Try to get the ones off the pallet and use lay-away as a backup. Maybe your WM won't be as anal as my store is. One more thing: if you can't grab a gba, bee-line it for lay-away because in a matter of minutes the line will grow a mile long. In case they won't pm their own ad, bring another store's ad with you. There should be a couple stores with gba's on sale this year.
  5. The door buster items will have a special upc#. The identical item that they normally carry will have a different upc#. They will NOT honor the door buster price for the item you have in lay-away. If it is a normal item that is just on sale, you should be fine. Another thing: they pull some items off the shelves several days before BF that will be on sale at their store and at competitor stores (price matching). They watch this website, too!
