    Thank you. He has improved some and will be heading back closer to home but I'll be putting myself into a hole for it. Most likely no BF for me this year, possibly no Christmas...but the important thing is he's close to his kids and family and friends who can keep his spirits up. And I'm the only one who seemingly can make it possible.

    Many thanks to bopeep for taking it on this year. For anyone who has been wondering, my brother has been seriously ill and in hospital for quite a while now. I visited him before going overseas a couple weeks ago and I'm glad I did because while I was gone he went back to ICU and was transferred to a major regional medical center. The Firm and I have been terribly distressed and nothing else matters right now aside from taking care of my family (and I've issues there too). I'll try hard to come back next year but we'll just have to wait and see. Thanks for your understanding.

    Also, I felt jendeere (who had to withdraw) needed some extra holiday cheer so wittenlover (who just missed the deadline) stepped up to take care of it.  And in return Bopeep and momlori took care of her so she received  as well as gave.  So thank you to the elves who were called to duty, and to those who volunteered.  I hope I haven't forgotten anyone...

     

    There will be a change to the exchanges for next year.  I'm going to make note of it now so I don't forget.  Happy holidays to all and see you next year!

    Ok, looks like everyone has sent except one and that with good reason. And it is with many tossed mugs of bamboo nog that the Firm regretfully informs me that elf duty was required. That has been taken care of, however, and everyone has packages on the way. The lists will be posted, as usual, on Christmas Day.

     

    In the meantime, please keep posting as you receive even if you'll wait to open your packages.

    :trampolin    a nice, heavy, (!)  box  in my mailbox locker!  Oh boy, oh boy!  Thank you to my secret santa!   Going to wait until Mom's arrives and then we will open them together.  I already know mom won't wait until Christmas!

     

      OUCH!!!  Stop hitting me mom!  (She doesn't like it when I post things about her online.) 

     

    Mom's secret santa...you have my permission to mail mom's box late....REALLY late!    ::ducking quickly out of mom's reach::

    The latest numbers according to ShiShi, ShiShi and ShiShi (who have gotten into the bamboo nog yet again)...

     

    OE: 4 left to send, 2 with a confirmed date

    SS: 10 left to send, 2 with a confirmed date

     

    Thanks to those who have been in touch in some way; if you haven't please do so so I know if you're waiting on things ordered for your recipients. I think everyone knows by now that "oops, I forgot" is not an excuse for late buying and mailing ;) Elves are ready and waiting for duty...

    Almost all the ornaments are out now and more than half of the secret Santas.

     

    Two more days til the deadline... The Firm is shredding bamboo at an alarming pace... If you are waiting on packages to arrive because you've ordered for your recipient please let me know if you haven't done so already. Those who have, you're good.
