  1. We bought a new set in Oct as our dryer shot craps. Went to Home Depot and bought the LG 3570.........then it was 888 with an additonal 10% off making them each around $800. The salesman told us that the Black Friday ad started on Nov. 5th and if they were included in the sale and it was within 30 days of the time we bought them we could get the price difference. Lo & behold they went on sale for $679 each. We went back and got a return of $255.

  2. Walmart has the Ipod Nano 16G on sale today only for 129. Last year they were on sale on BF for 99. BB has them on sale this year on BF for 119. Should I go for it today or wait and see?

  3. My girls are 18 & 21 and got the ipod nano several years ago (4th or 5th generation) One of them finally shot craps, so we are getting another one........7th generation. They use theirs strictly for music..........therefore we dont need the ipod touch! They both have tablets and laptops if they want to get on the internet & they dont need to take pics with it!

You can get a refurbished one thru apple for about $99. If you buy a new one thru them I believe it is 139.

  4. After looking at several video game systems and the games available for each here is my take:

Wii- good for younger kids, but will be the next obsolete gaming system

Wii U- works backward compatible so can use the wii games........again good for young kids, or those that like the dance games, etc

The Xbox or Playstation seems to be more aimed toward teen boys and college age boys that like to play beat em up, smash em up kind of games. Not something that I want my 8 year old playing, or anything that I think my 21 year old daughter would be interested in. I do like that they can play with friends, siblings, etc that might not live with them. The games just seem to be a bit geared toward the older boys. Didnt see anything I thought my girls would like as far as games.

So I guess I am hoping for a good deal on the Wii U unless anyone else has any other suggestions.

  5. Now if the current set would die I could get new ones that are more efficient.  Is that a bad thing to wish for?

Nope.............LOL!! My dryer died after 13 years............it got so confusing reading reviews! Just as many bad reviews out there as good. I think its a 50/50 chance on getting a good one. I just hate to spend that much money and not like it. The salesman told me I had 90 days to bring them back if I wasnt happy, and there was no restocking fee. The one thing I dont like about the new models is the average cycle time (for the washer) is 53 min.......that seems so much longer than the ones I have now. He said it is because they are more efficient and that makes the dry time alot less.

  6. Just an FYI...........we went to Home Depot last night to look at washer/dryers. The salesman said the best time to buy is coming up the month of November. He said there is a sale starting Nov 5. I asked if it beat Black Friday prices and he said this was the Black Friday sale............it's now called Black November. If we bought a set and it was lower price in the sale since it fell within 30 days we would get the lower price.

One of the sets we were looking at were 699 each and he said he was pretty sure they were 999 for the pair on sale. We didnt end up getting that set, but thought if anyone else was looking they might be interested in that info. Now we will just cross our fingers that the set we got is on sale, because every little bit helps!
