  1. Unbelievable amount of electronics on sale right now for 70% off... found Bose Soundlink Air marked down from $349 to $104.xx...

Also this Bose Sounddock Series II marked down from $200 to $60:

So many other things too. I was soooo happy to find these speakers.

This RCA Music Lightwall (bluetooth) was marked down from $99 to $29.xx. Thought it looked fun for my 13 year old daughter.

This was $129.99 marked down to $38.xx and I love it. It uses bluetooth plus is also a charger...

... many, many other smaller things. These are the highlights. This was TODAY too. So either they are a little late marking down or this stuff just went unnoticed for a couple days! They were all in the electronics aisle resetting, so maybe some of these things were being shuffled out of the regular aisle. Although the Bose stuff was still in the regular aisle...

  2. One more thing... the Betty Crocker Molasses cookie mix is ringing up 56 cents and if you buy 10, you get a $5 giftcard. I like these for my pre teen daughters who are just learning to cook. At that price I just leave them to do it all on their own. I don't care if they screw up! :)-- which is pretty hard to do since all you have to do is add egg, water, oil.... There are still many, many bags of these left at Oak Park. They are on an end shelf unit, not the aisle.

  3. Also forgot to mention. I was at my least favorite store in the city early this morning-- Ward Pkwy. Online tracker shows they have Bell interactive story dog. I know those trackers aren't always up to date; add that to the fact that this store has the highest theft in the city, so it probably still shows available even though they are no where to be seen.

I didn't bank on them finding any in the back room. The guy was nice and checked for me, but I don't know how hard he checked. It wouldn't surprise me if this store had a whole box of them in the back that will be wheeled out the day it goes to salvage! They don't do a great job on keeping inventory stocked, which is probably why they have SOOO much stuff left every holiday!

Not a huge deal but was hoping to find Bell to go with my daughter's Jingle dog.

  4. I was also at the Mission store this afternoon! Funny :) There is a very nice deal on garbage bags that some might have luck finding. There are Glad ForceFlex Odor Shield Tall Kitchen Drawstring Bags (90 count) on clearance for 1/2 price... $7.48 (reg. 14.99) They are also prompting for a $5 giftcard when you buy 3. Not a bad deal if you need them. Look for Fresh Vanilla Scent. THAT is the one that was on sale for me. I found them in the regular aisle. I haven't looked for coupons yet, so I don't know if any exist currently for Glad garbage bags, but that would make the deal much sweeter for sure! This was at the Mission Store.

I also found TWO Venturi wine aerator gift kits (Mission Store). Absolutely the deal of my day. Regular 59.99 for 5.99. They are a 2 pack, so actually TWO aerators for 5.99. Love ours and look forward to gifting these to friends :) Here is a pic

I was happy to have found several of the Goodie hair elastics since my 3 daughters go through them pretty quick. They are in tubes for 19 cents. (Ward Pkwy Store)

... and a nordic ware silicone mini spatula for 39 cents (Mission Store).

Also found several little power massagers (8.99) for 89 cents. There is an on/off button and the little feet vibrate. Cute stocking stuffers. (Mission Store)

  5. Doesn't mean anything, (I realize that), but I have a receipt from last year (2012/13) showing holiday purchases I made on January 4th for 70% off and January 5th for 90% off. :)

Also the year prior (2011/12)... stuff I bought on January 4th was 70% off and I didn't have a receipt for 90% until the 6th (but maybe i missed the first day of 90 that year??)

I know when it gets this close to 90% people check everyday no matter what past history might show. Just thought I'd throw that out there!

  6. I saw a 20% off Nerf Rebelle blasters, bows, and darts on Cartwheel. I don't know if you could pricematch and use the Target coupon and Cartwheel, but it's certainly worth a try!

Thanks for posting. I took my receipt in and they gave me my 20% off... got $6.40 back. I think she took it off the price before the target coupon. Anyway... about $6.50 or so for each gun (orig. $20). Works for me!

  7. Maybe something that could be useful...

This Nerf Rebelle Guardian Crossbow here:

    http://images.hasbrotoyshop.com/Files_Main/200/0319BD7450569047F5C389CC6D68AE24.jpg

is marked down to $11.99 on Target.com, but it is out of stock. It is priced $19.99 in my stores, but they will price match AND they also took my toy catalog coupon for $5 off a nerf rebelle item. So both crossbows for less than $20. It happened to be on my 8 and 10 year olds lists, so I was happy! Note: the coupon is expiring next week I believe.

  8. I'm not really facebook savvy. but when i go to my actual facebook page (not the newsfeed) it shows that I "recently added clementines to my Cartwheel by Target". I guess I'm just assuming that 'friends' would be able to see that, but maybe not? I think I started with 10 spots and now have 15. I really don't know exactly  how I got the additional 5 spots added, but this facebook account has no friends on it, so it wasn't from sharing anything with anyone. Maybe it has to do with how much I save??

  9. That's a good question. I can't figure this out. Can anyone out there who uses it and facebook (I just have an account I use for junk like this) let us know? One of the badges you need to open up has to do with looking at what your friends have bought, but I can't figure out how to do that. I can see my own history in my activity, but I don't know how it shows up on someone else's page. Any help is welcome. I know this isn't a Cartwheel page, but not much else has been going on at Target lately....

Yes, it does show up as recent activity on facebook. I have a dummy facebook account that I use for all coupons or other promotional things that require a facebook account. I have saved about $60 using cartwheel after maybe 3 months. Occasionally target will throw out crazy offers like a 50% off all Halloween costumes and accessories that came out for a day or two a few weeks back. Those don't last long before they are pulled. Most things are just 5%-10% off and are frankly too tedious to search through.

I usually just scan online forums and blogs. There are plenty of people who get jazzed to find good couponing deals and then post about them. If there is something that I can make use of, I will go out and add it to my cartwheel. What can make the cartwheel a fairly decent deal is that it can be used in addition to manufacturers coupons AND Target coupons. I never use my phone to redeem the cartwheel. I printed out the bar code ONE time and continue to just show the cashier the printed bar code. She scans it and it will always pick up whatever recent additions I've made even though I printed it months ago.

  10. Ward Pkwy is 90%, but signed at 70%.  I was in late this afternoon (4ish). Got some sidewalk chalk in funny holders for 29 cents and there are many paper plates (90 count) Up and Up in the regular aisle for 32 cents. I bought some, but there were still many left. They are 90 count, not 110. My husband thinks I have a crazy addiction to paper products (still left over from past Targeting years), so I tried to limit myself. But, suffice to say, if I wanted, I could have taken enough to avoid doing the dishes for many, many months! HA

Haven't been here in awhile. As a matter of fact I had my very first Redcard "ZERO" balance since getting the card 10 years ago. I always thought as my kids got older, I'd have MORE time to spend there. Boy, was that wrong!

BTW, I like the new page, but I miss the "view first unread" button. Too much scrolling. Am I just missing it or is it not here?

  11. Again, the companies put themselves in this position, before issuing things like this, they need to look at the coupon they are producing, does it have all the language they need and want on the coupon, can't misinterpret if its in writing, then make sure your stores know what is happening. There have been so many mistakes that companies have made and pretty much just shrug it off and blame the consumer. If you need something to be in place, do it, place your restrictions and use on the coupon. This coupon never stated it couldn't be used on GC's nor that the item needed to be over a $100, the stores were even starting to say it could not be a sale item (over $100), thats too much after the fact. We are the digital age, this will be passed on to other folks. They should of also put a unique number for each coupon if they only wanted it used once. You can put a link in your email that generates a new coupon for each individual, this takes away the over use of your coupon (ok mostly). Victoria Secret did this, they actually sent out angry letters to customers for using multiple codes that their website accepted, blaming the customer for their oversight. I received one of those letters for using multi codes to get some free stuff, I feel if you don't want someone using multi codes, disable that feature or program it differently. Other companies do it, it can be done LOL

I totally agree with you stowasser. If a giant company like Best Buy doesn't have a marketing department that can put out a promotion without making a huge blunder, then it's their fault. They have the right to pull it, but I wouldn't feel bad about using the card on gift cards if it didn't exclude them. I'm just bummed I didn't do it before they figured out their boneheaded mistake. c'mon, how long has the internet been around and how many brains does it take to figure out that people will share the coupon link with others?! It's not that hard to restrict the usage of a coupon to ONLY the person it's sent to.

  12. where are you finding your stuff? ours used to have an endcap. now i don't know where the stuff is located?

I've noticed at more and more stores, they seem to just be marking stuff down in the regular aisles and using a little 75% off shelf tag instead of moving stuff to the end caps. Don't know if that was just temporary during the holidays or if it will be ongoing.

  13. Advice would be appreciated: If you find items in clearance end caps that are NOT stickered or red tagged, do you run to the scanner to check it? Do you do this all-year-around or just during special clearance times? I've always thought they were mistakenly mixed in and placed with clearance. Thank you in advance for your help.

During holidays, if it doesn't have a sticker and it appears to be holiday themed, there is always a 'chance' it was just not shelved in with the holiday stuff or moved around. Although, not everything with a snowflake on it is meant to be clearanced!! The scanners at Target are great to double check. I know there are people who try to argue with the cashiers about how something "should" be marked down, but that won't always get you very far. I especially laugh when someone tries to take something that is scanning full price and get it for 90% off. And there are cashiers who will do it!! Amazing.

    Anyway...

Holiday items (Christmas, Valentines, Easter, "Summer Season," Halloween) are really the only times that you'll see 90% on anything. Occasionally there are random stickers that pop up with strange pricing, but it's just the holidays for 90%.

Lots of shoppers dump stuff on the end caps, so finding something that isn't stickered even when it's next to a 50/70% off sign doesn't obligate Target to sell it to you for that. Unless there is an entire endcap full of the same item and clearly mis-signed. You might get somewhere with that argument!

For the most part, I just scan and avoid big scenes at the register over something's price. I wish more stores besides Target had scanners... like Dick's Sporting Goods! ... another topic :)

  14. I noticed that nobody answered. In all but one store in my area, its moving well enough at 70% that I don't think they will have to drop it to 90%. I was reading articles online about how that venture failed and I have to admit that I only saw the first store display a few days ago and that store had just about every item left for sale. Since then, I've seen only a few items in the other store such as the dog bowls, fancy dresses, and furry hats. I'm going to keep looking at this forum and both the Target and Neiman Marcus websites to see if they will dare to drop to 90%.

It's all been 'stickered' or red tagged at the stores around here. It is very rare that merchandise goes to 90% off when it has a red clearance sticker on it. I would imagine they have a place for all that Neiman Marcus stuff to go that would get them more than 10 cents on the dollar.

  15. I prefer the end of February clearance. To me, there aren't all that many items with a pink sticker this time of year, but after inventory (end of January), they really start marking things down on clearance. I've had major scores during the Feb 21st/24th timeframe. Of course winter is nearing the end by then too so there probably isn't as much opportunity to use the stuff you buy.

I shopped the Dillards New Years Day sale last year and was only on a mission to find Christmas ornaments for a tree I was planning THIS year. It was a ZOO, and I wouldn't want to do it again anytime soon. I found a few other things in the kids department, but that was about it.

Ugg boots go real cheap during the end of Feb sale. I buy them for my kids at that time.
