I have never had problems with their shipping, but have found their customer service to be severely lacking. FWIW, I guess, don't look for sympathy from them if it does not arrive in time....
I guess it depends on where it is going, but the weather this weekend might pose a problem for some shipments. If your dad really would will flip out....then I'd take a pass.

DS has received things like nike earphones (for ipod), Ohio State hat (his favorite) and books in the past....good, safe items that don't scream "couple" !!!

Kitchenaid blender (has a glass pitcher, not plastic)....awesome. I make my smoothies with frozen fruit, ice, etc. and it really does the job. Bought it a couple years ago online, it was a refurb model, with warranty from Kitchenaid. Looked brand spanking new, and could not tell the difference...except for the $$ I saved. I have been very happy with it.

I feel the same way....these things are incredible, and though I did order a few for teachers gifts, I really should have gotten a few more to put away! (DH is wrapping the salad set for me for under the tree....I can't wait to see it!)
There wasn't free shipping code....you had to spend $100 total to get free ship. I ordered it the day of the OP, and the last of it just arrived today...yikes!

I ordered the ipod speakers that were on special yesterday morning....did the google checkout AND free shipping, received the email today confirming shipping and the box had *already* arrived on my doorstep!!

My kids' sitter (college aged) loved to sit and draw with them on occasion, and bought each of them a big set of gel/milky pens and paper for Christmas one year.....not something a mom of 4 boys would consider (I guess I first thought it too girlish....), but I'll tell you they LOVED them and spent hours drawing/creating/doodling. Admittedly, though all of the 'pink' pens became mine......!!
And it gets them away from the TV!
(I miss that sitter!!)

Spent Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too much time fussing with the website earlier....system down and couldn't check out. Finally got ahold of cs person on phone and they told me not to worry.....my shopping cart would still be intact later today.Just now finished the purchase...all said and done in under 90 seconds. Yay! Even got the early bird pricing!!

Saw some at Costco for right in that price range. Look also for rebates, etc....Kitchenaid does them often.

I agree with an Ipod....get from apple.com and personalization and s/h are free....esp if that is what she really wants. Re: fragrances from BBW....that's a nice 'stocking stuffer' type of gift, but venture to the perfume aisle of a nice store and get her some 'grown up' fragrances (chanel or something like it) that a college student wouldn't normally spend on herself.
Oh, and flowers on Xmas day???/ Send them to her Mom....lots of points scored!!
