  1. Tried to click on the Kohl's forum and got this:

Fatal error: Out of memory (allocated 18874368) (tried to allocate 1066237 bytes) in /home/deals/public_html/forums/includes/functions.php on line 7588

Also seeing a LOT of repeated threads when looking at "New Posts"

  2. Dollar spot yellow was 70% here, today. Got some Mrs. Field's chocolates for 30 cents (3 piece boxes). Calendars and pocket calendars 30 cents. LOTS if kiddy crap, if you are in need of that.

Christmas hard goods, 70% Candy still sitting at 50% and the shelf is VERY full. There was s 90% sign in front of a section with high end candy (Ghiradelli, Lindt) but only scanned at 50%. Guessing someone put the sign out by mistake. Got candy cane Oreos for 89 cents.

  3. There was no code. It states "Just use your Kohl's charge or present your Associate's discount card and your 35% discount will be automatically applied" Offer good instore and online with free shipping.

I finally got in, put something in my cart to test it and the discount was NOT automatically applied. This whole email looks like it was meant for Kohl's employees???? But, I have never worked there nor do I know anyone who does. Wonder if it was sent in error????

  4. Today, I was able to combine a $3.00 off Pepto to go with a $6 off $15 "Health care purchase" and a $4 off $20 purchase and tossed in all of the free w/ECB items. Got all of that and (3) 12 packs of Mountain Dew and paid about 2 bucks OOP and got back $11.50 in ECB.
  5. I do kind of wonder how the "crazy couponers" with the CART LOAD of the free deals operated? If you use a RR from a specific deal to buy another of the same, the RR will not print again? Unless......they had 4 different items, bought 2 at a time and kep going back an forth on RRs.........I feel sorry for the cashier and the people in line behind them. I never do more than 2 transactions at a time.

Did my final runs today. Hit 2 Wag's and 2 CVS. Used the 10 off 35 at 2 different Wag's and got a boatload of free stuff.

I now have a "tooth flosser drawer" LOL I have enough tooth flossers and toothbrushes to last about 7 years. (just 2 of us)

My best transaction I paid $2.16 OOP and got back $11.50 in RR.

I still have the final RRs and ECBs from my last trips. So, I hope there are some good deals to roll them on this coming week.

My DH thinks I am nuts, but doesn't seem to mind that when he needs a "sundry" there are plenty to choose from and he does not have to to out and get something!

Kind of dissapointed there was no razor deal this year. I am down to about 87 razors and/or replacement blades. :) That is cutting it kind of close.

  6. I have rolled so many times that last 2 days I am getting dizzy! LOL Lucky for me, there are 4 Wag.'s within 7 miles of my house. 2 of them are on my way home from work. Yesterday, a $10 off $35 was printing along with all of my other RR's. So, today's trips were even better. Tomorrow, I will use some of my last batch of RR's to get some of the Fiber One brownies (2 for 3 bucks :eyepoppin) and the half gallons of Lipton tea for 99 cents.

2 of our Wag's have CVS stores literally right across the street. Will roll what I can there, too. Bummer that their card system tracks ECB's and limits them. But, they are all very good about letting me do 2 or 3 transactions and roll on the spot.

I will never run out of toothpaste, Carmex, tooth flossers, Rolaids, shampoo, conditioner, cough drops...........

  7. I think I read a strategy to their "free" items but never read the article. Can someone explain how to best take advantage of their items you purchase and get extra bucks for that amount of that item?

Do a little math. Buy SOME of the items you want. Get the ECBs for those and use them to buy the next round of items that have ECB. Then, use the ECBs from THOSE to buy the next round and so on.

  8. Spent mine Sunday. Got a pair of slacks for work off the clearance rack. They were exactly 10 bucks. She rang them up and said "That will be $7.49" huh? I guess that clearance was an extra 30% off that day. I asked if she could just charge me the 10 bucks so I could use my coupon. She really didn't want to, but did.

I thought they no longer did percentage off sales? Might have to start watching their ads and emails again???

  9. Thanks for the heads up!!!! Since the big change, I have routed JCP emails to junk. Had to go back and look and found it!

Not only did the change piss me off, but they discontinued the pants AND shirts I had been buying for work for more than 10 years.

I will take their 10 bucks as a compensation for my inconvenience. :)

  10. I agree. It depends alot on what the item is as to how much money they make on it. They are a huge business so I'm sure they can get huge lots really cheap. More speciality items-like Legos-they would certainly lose money at 75% off. However, it's getting the people into the store that makes the profits. I used to be a 3-4 times a week Target clearance shopper. Most importantly though I was a loyal shopper and bought my regular price stuff there too. Now I probably go there maybe once every 10 days or so. I do not like the new arrangement of the product that was done last year in my store. I swear I could design a better layout with NO business background! I buy my food at Walmart or HyVee. And now Penneys is going sort of the same route and I've significantly stopped my shopping there. It's just so boring. Instead I am shopping at Younkers which I NEVER thought I would do (too expensive). Today Younkers had a $50.00 off a $100.00 purchase. For $59.00 dollars I got a bracelet, some jean leggings, a new bra, some mens Polo flip flops AND the last pair of Birkenstock sandals that were on sale for $49.99 instead of $79.99. So they were free! :) I was so excited. Target has lost me and now I think Penneys is losing me. I just loved the good old days at Target!

Thank you for shopping Hy-Vee. :D
