  1. i went to the one in Chicago and we were stuck on the highway alone for three hours. after having enough with the traffic, we saw lost patience and seeing that the mall was next to the highway, we hopped out of the car in traffic and ran across the grassy area next to the highway to get to the mall. it was shear madness, people were lining up at coach for their sale. it was almost like a free for all.
  2. I mention on this forum that ABC wanted to follow me around, well BF came and went and no one bother to let me know that they weren't coming.... it was for the best because it would have been a major distraction. I originally was just going to go to BB and CC, maybe target. But last minute, my friends and i discovered that there was an outlet mall that was opening at midnight with sales. (i live in Chicago, and the mall was called Chicago Premium Outlet). We left about 11:00 and we hope to be there by 100. Half way there on the expressway, traffic came to a standstill. Around 200, traffic was crawling inch by inch. So we were tired of waiting so we did the most logically thing that came to mind. The mall was located right next to the expressway so we hopped out of the car and made a run accross the shoulder of the expressway and on into the mall. We got some really good sales, there was this insane line outside the Coach Outlet and we all managed to get a purse, a wallet and i got a dog collar that was 29 but was originally 80 or something like that. Then we went over to BB and there was a insane line too but i was genuenlly surprised by the fact there was still so much stuff i wanted to get in stock.... this was an interesting black friday for me. I think the major retailers like BB, CC and WM could have improved on their bf sales selection choices this year.
  3. i got my sister hooked on it, my mom thoughts i was nuts for doing it, so i dragged her along last year and she said it was a fun and interesting experience but she doesn't want to it again, (she hated the crowds). My uncle remains baffled on it, in his words,

"I don't know why you're waking up real early to give all your money to these people."

Still black friday gets me pumped up for the hoildays.

  4. i guess i am disappointed with the sales. but you can't go wrong with the dvd sales they have this year, although i am a bit disppointed with the sale selection of dvds.... i really wanted to get a DS Lite but so far from the ads there really isn't gonna be a sale on it this year on bf.... so i guess i will go with the Wal-Mart sale of the DS lite they have this week...

right now, i am wondering what is going on with these retail's heads right now..... These sales are medicore to say the least.

  5. What's the difference?

well from my understanding, the lite is smaller in size and lighter. It comes in three colors, pink, black onyx and white. There are other small difference, but that is the major difference. Now that i realize that it is the regular one for sale, i might stay home from bf this year....

  6. Here's a link to the specs on another site, it's 1.8GHz.

I guess its alright, nothing to be wild about.... i just need a "hold over". Something to hold my sister over till she gets a Mac next year. i guess this will suffice. her old system broke and rather hash out an extravagant amount to repair i was looking for something cheap and simple and can last her up to a year and half.

  8. JChui,

I've seen better laptops for $699, if it was $599 shipped then I would get it.

In ways do you think it could be improved? I really need an honest opinion. The E 1505 that i was thinking about was a Windows XP MCE with 512 MB Ram and 1.66 Ghz Core solo and 40 GB and cd-rw/dvd rom. This is is about 759-799

  9. I am thinking about purchasing this laptop for school This is the Dell Inspiron

Because i am debating whether to get this or to get inspiron E1505 which includes the free upgrade to 1 gb and possbly to Intel Core Duo. Help!

  10. i hope there is a sale on laptops, however i HOPE that they learned from the disaster from friday... it irritates me that for those of you who ordered a laptop via BB's site and couldn't get it. There was a loophole in the site, its their fault, therefore all of you guys who ordered it should have gotten it on the advertised price. I understand if you missed in the stores because of limited supplies but at least make this sale makeup for the one on friday! (No offense to those who got them, i send my kudos to you!)
  11. Once i was at a Champs sports, and i tried a pair of nikes. The pair i tried on was dirty so i ask for another identical pair and the guy gives me the box with the new pair. i give a look over in the box, there was two shoes so i gladly paid and left. When it came time for me to wear later that day, i realized their was a major defect in the box, there was two left shoe in the box! I was livid and demanded a refund, which they said they couldn't give, because it was a sale item, but i argued, how many shoe did they sell that had 2 left shoe? The manager came to me and told me she exchange for a pair that had equal value so i ended up with a pair of Sketchers. Needless to say, i will check EVERYTHING i buy now!
  12. The Forest Park store. I'm a few blocks away.

    It was nuts.

I am from Chicago too, and i think the best Walmart to go are the burbs. But i think the the one in forest park is probably ALOT better than the one in Burbank. It a lot more chaotic there because its the closes one on the southside of chicago.
