The Ace I frequent has pretty much everything you could need. Plus they have George who knows what pipe, nuts, bolts or whatever you need to get it done.

DeepDiscount.com usually has some good sales as well. They also have some lesser known series like Jeeves & Wooster.

If the gift it worth $30 it really doesn't matter that you paid less. Not sure on what to do on the other 2 questions. We stopped exchanging gifts and adopted a charity for the holidays the last few years in my office.

My daughter had the original Go Go 20 years ago. $50 is kind of pricey but we definitely got our money's worth out of that one.

Ace Hardware September 30th

Around 15 years. Started out just me and my stepson hitting a couple stores. Now it's me, the kids, a bunch of friends and planned out weeks in advance.

We start Tuesday with a final planning meeting. Tuesday night and Wednesday is actual prep for Turkey day dinner and look at any print ads. Thanksgiving morning we leave around 6 to hit any sales that look good and are home by 8 to start dinner. While it cooks I read the paper and check out the local ads. That evening kids and I plan our strategy for the next day and check in with our shopping buddies. DS is a night owl so he will start with any online deals while we grab some sleep. We usually leave for Walmart by 3 am, finish there, head to Target, and then work our way down our list of other stores. In the meantime our friends have hit Kohls, TRU, and the other stores on their lists. We are usually done and relaxing by 10 at the latest.

Is anyone getting a map for a different area. I select my store and get a map for a store 75 miles away?

I'd vote for sitting it out and going for the online deals. The year I went while pg was the one year some idiot turned in front of me causing an accident. Spending black friday in L&D sucked.
