  1. No, they don't, but it wouldn't matter if they did. Any person can have a business... whether or not it is active, or making money is a different story.

I don't know if I would use the "Inc." though... just joonshin.

thanks guys. at times i see pretty good deals for dell sb, but i haven't recommended them to anyone because i didn't know if they could buy it.

  2. first we need a set of rules. and i noticed some forums have a sub forum under the for sale/trade forum for feedback.

a feedback forum would be great to let other GDers know if a seller is good or bad.

also the seller should always try to reference their ebay or ioffer feedback ratings.

bypassing ebay fees is great, because you are already getting screwed by the paypal fees. LOL!

  3. I have three (3) of these:

Gotta http://s23.photobucket.com/albums/b399/Marcster2005/Smileypad/Love/hb1.gif the 80mm fan keeping things cool. Much quieter than the 40mm high-speed jobs in most externals. All aluminum, pretty quiet. No complaints, I just wish it came in a silver configuration. Check out the reviews on Newegg for the DS3 = stellar. 250 reviews, averaging 5 stars, you just won't find that with any others.

    $36.99 + $4.99 S/H

There is a version of the DS3 on Newegg that does Firewire, and another that does SATA drives, but either one of those is more $$$ than what I've posted above.

I'm going to get one of these soon: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16817332003 (AMS VENUS T4 USB RAID Storage). You can set it up for RAID 1, which is unique in an external hard drive enclosure.

ross, Marcster is right on the money. a long time ago, i had an enclosure without a fan, and it screwed up my hard drive.

it didn't fry it, but windows wouldn't read the drive until it was turned off for a couple of minutes...

i really think they should BAN selling enclosures without a fan or some type of cooling.
