  1. I don't go at the crack of dawn anymore. Last year I went I got to our Walmart at 7AM and they still had all of the toys I wanted. So this year I went with my 6 year old daughter at 7AM and it was very pleasant.

Not much different than a normal Saturday afternoon at a Walmart. We had a fun Mommy-Daughter shopping morning. We got a few toys for gifts and loaded up on the $2 & $6 DVDs. We then headed to Kohl's and got some a few more toys for gifts as well as our Church's Angel Tree donations. We also took a break to go out for breakfast at Perkins. We walked around Best Buy for a while, picked up a Panera gift card for the teacher and then left a little after 11AM.

But then I got home only to read this article! "Strong-arm robbery reported at Delafield Target": http://www.jsonline.com/news/35219914.html YIKES! That's all in the same shopping area where we were shopping all morning!

  2. I just got back from doing some basic shopping at WM tonight and they had everything boxed up in pre-printed boxes that said "Return for Credit" - TONS of Pallets of these boxes were EVERYWHERE. If these boxes were pre-printed, then they KNEW they were going to have left overs.
  3. Disney Movies go back in the "vault" after a certain time. Only one major animated movie is out for release at any given time like Cinderella, Little Mermaid and Alladin. I'm a Disney Movie Club member and they don't even have them (the major animated ones) available.

Your best bet is Ebay. You will most likely have to pay a premium for them, not a discount -- sorry. :)

  4. Were they the plain Leapsters or the L-Max ones?

I'm pretty sure the ones at WM were the plain leapsters, I remember seeing them on clearance a while back.

The one I got at Kohl's was the L-Max. I picked it up yesterday and used my 20% off coupon. There were only 3 left - well 2 now that I got one :)

Then on BF it's $69.99 without coupons. Still a good deal!

  5. Oh yes that 30% off coupon is REALLY a steal! There are some things though that will be better on BF with the 10% off coupon, so I'm glad I have one more day with taht 30% off coupon to plan.
  6. I am not impressed with the l-max price. I can get it for a few dollars cheaper right now (the pink one, too!). I am just going to buy it online today to save me a trip to the store. I don't want to get there and have it be gone.

Do you know if Kohl's offers their BF deals on their website??? I heard they do.

RE: Leapster L-MAX on the kohls.com website, I haven't seen it yet. Right now I have a 30% off online coupon, but haven't seen the L-Max or any leapster for that matter.

I've never seen it lower than $80 in any store. Plus I have my 10% off coupon so the total price will be only $63 on BF at Kohls.

Have you seen it less than $63? Do tell.

  7. I did last year at Kohl's - I had to bring my daughter (who was three at the time) with me. The people at Kohl's are always so nice. When someone at the check out, saw I had my daughter with me when I entered she let me have her cart.

Now it was quite the site to see my daughter riding in the cart holding a griddle and a Nesco roaster hanging off the back!

  8. I'm not an MVC member so I don't get those 15% off coupons. But I called up the credit card customer service yesterday and asked if they'll be sending out any of those 10% off coupons before Thanksgiving. She didn't know, but she was nice and say "I'll just send you one out."

Just a tip - maybe you'll get a nice operator and get a free coupon.

  9. I set aside about $200. But I did a Discovery Toys party earlier in the year and got a bunch of stuff for free and 1/2 price. Also, I've picked up things along the way and I really shouldn't buy my DD3 any more stuff. So I only spent $145 -- but the retail value is probably more like $300.
  10. I just went to Kohl's:

    Got:

Carlton Card Ornaments for Teachers - 4 of them about $11 each. It wasn't an early bird special, but I figured the "good ones" would sell out fast.

    2 Women's Robes - $19.99

    1 Man's Robe - $25.00

    3 Men's Lounge Pants - $7.99 Each

    Rival Slow Cooker/3 Divided Sections - $29.99

    Griddle - $14.99

    Quesadilla Maker - $14.99

    Game Tins -

  11. Yeah to Kohl's! I couldn't get out super early for anything today, but I went to Kohl's to pick up my requisite small appliances for Mom, Sis, etc...

I had to take my DD(3) (I was not exactly sure I wanted to do that). But I simply waited for my stroller shopping cart and a lady was nice enough to give it to me when she was done. The aisles were not crowded with merchandise, it was easy to maneuver with the cart and I got alot of creative gifts - Like the Price is Right DVD Game (How fun!).

Then there was a SUPER long line at the check out. But it went FAST. The manager directet traffic and I was out of the line in less than FIVE MINUTES! :yelclap:

To top it off now I have another $50 to spend there next week with the Kohl's "Cash" ;)

  12. I'm getting a message that states:

"Online Ordering is Temporarily Unavailable...Come back in a few minutes...Thanks for stopping by. Please check back soon. We apologize for the inconvenience. You can use the links below to learn about in-store specials and more."
