Spending time with my bestie and getting most of my Christmas shopping done

Got to BB at 8pm about 100th in line got TomTom and XBox 360 w/guitar hero bundle tickets left for

WalMart

Got to walmart at 4:30am in and out the door by 5:25am with the Go Diego Go Jeep

 

Tried to go to targe parking lot was scary so back to BB to pick up ticket items, 1.5 hrs in check out line. Yuck!!!!

 

Wandered the mall for a couple of hours picked up a few small things no door busters.

 

Back to target got the 8.00 picture frame wheel things.

 

Overall good experience, WalMart being the most efficient and quickest (shocking)

Kmart used to give something every year, I quit going there the year I saw to people come to blows over a chance to get a cookie tin.

[Cutting in Line?]

We have always done this, no one ever seems to mind. This is not technically the same thing as saving a place for hours for someone to show up 15 minutes before the doors open. My 12 and 17yr olds have this as a plan to take turns in the car and in line.

 

Well, I hope you guys that are saying this dont plan on switching with people to warm up in your cars. i know someone said they didnt mind that, but the rest of you....Because, technically, its the same thing.

[Best Buy Suggestion]

I think it is a good theory, it would only mean that more people line up earlier.

 

I know its to late for this year, but I have a suggestion for everyone to propose to Best Buy for next year.

 

Why not allow the people who are in line for the big items ie Computers, TVs, laptops to buy them early like 2am after the get the tickets, and then take them to their car. If they want something else, then they can wait till the store opens and buy it. That way it would be easier to move around the store with all the big items out of the way, and the checkout line should be shorter to.

 

What does everyone think?

Went to Joann last year at got there about 8am did not get out until after 11am the cutting line was 3 hours. I will never do it again.

I am trying to decide on a digital camera. My budget is around 200 dollars. I am leaning towards walmart - Kodak z760 for 199. I am not interested in HP/Samsung/Fuji. Any thoughts and suggestions will be much appreciated.

I have had, a Canon, Nikon and a Kodak, I would stay away from the Kodak. Canon seems to have the best reputation for cameras in that price range.

[Black Friday Bartering]

What makes this whole thing even funnier. I'm going to be at Best Buy...9:30PM Thanksgiving night with about 7 other people. We're ALL taking every ticket offered...Can you say "monopoly"?

This is really sad, Black Friday gives people the opportunity to give some great things for Christmas, and your greed and insensitivity is so far from the spirit of the season it's scary. :mad:
