So sad that he died at such an early age... makes the movie even more special to me - as I so loved his art.

Custom Shirts or GottaDeal Anniversary shirts, are you wearing one?
magickallight replied to jaymacfla's topic in 2013
Always wear a GottaDeal shirt - even if I'm shopping online! -
I feel like most... don't mind it online - but my time with my family on Thanksgiving is precious to me... not giving that up!

Has anyone seen Thomas Kinkade's Christmas Cottage? It's a Hallmark movie and it is really good!

Great find! Looking forward to this sale!

I love Christmas Vacation, followed by Scrooged, It's a Wonderful Life and several others. (Although I pretty much love them all.) Anyone have any all time favorites?

Dear Santa, I have been REALLY good this year, I would like a Hula Hoop, Slinky, Lincoln Logs, A talking Mr. Ed Ride on Pony, Colorforms, Barbies, and a bright pink bike. (I'm over 49 but under 51... a girl NEVER reveals her true age. LOL!)

I am soon to be in the same boat as you... my youngest will graduate High School in January - so not sure what next year will bring. My husbands kids live far away, but my 2 oldest, 31 & 28 bring their kids over on Christmas Eve each year and we either have brunch or an early dinner, then open presents and play family Christmas Trivia and Bingo for goofy prizes for the winners. We have a blast, and they get their kids home in plenty of time to watch a Christmas movie and get ready for Santa to arrive. It will be different when none of them are here on Christmas morning... I am dreading it. But imagine hubby and I will still have my mom over to open gifts on Christmas morning and have a special breakfast together and then later a special Christmas dinner... it won't be the same - but I will always do the "Stockings" and special gifts from Santa - even if the kids are on their own.

Years ago, my kids, my mom and I decided to "Do Walmart" for Black Friday... it was laid out so strangely... They had huge pallets of "doorbusters" scattered throughout the store wrapped in brown paper with employees guarding them until the "official start". I took my then very young son with me to stand in line for a big screen TV and my mom and teenage daughter were planted in front of the pallet filled with DVD players. I had been in the slow moving line for quite some time when my daughter came rushing over screaming that I had to come quick, my mom had been hit with a flying DVD player and was on the floor! I had to leave her with my son in my place in line (didn't want to miss out on my TV!) while I went rushing to the other end of the store to help my mom. By the time I got there she was back on her feet with a nice bruise on her head, mad as can be that she didn't get a DVD player! Seems as though the employees tossed them off the pallet at "go time" and one of them had a pretty good throwing arm! One person that had witnessed what happened came over and handed her one of their DVD players, as they had gotten more than 1... I thought that was really sweet. It was a Black Friday that I will never forget...
