  1. Yes, a little scary considering how heavy it would be to carry around your neck I have two one GB and it is never enough. The 8 GB will just do great for movies and very large files instead of having to break them up. The 4GB might be ok and is only half the price but the 8GB does seem to be at a great price... thanks, frank

Is this the best deal? Anyone got any coupons? I guess I should go thru MyPoints... any other options I havent thought of? 3. please let us know if you get thru to them. Sorry to hear that the burr grinder is cr@p. I really do not have any use for a blade grinder and I hope they dont try to send it to me... If they do send it I will contest with credit card company and keep the blade grinder and I did not request it and it was sent anyways. That is the law... later, frank
  4. I purchased some specialty items from a Whole Foods type store in San Francisco. Because of the specialty items I had to take a slip to a special managers register to pick up the items and pay for them. The store gives a discount if you purchase a certain amount but when she rang up all the items it was wrong - I do that totaling in my head thing as I shop too... So I asked for a pencil and paper and wrote out long hand her mistake. The mistake was against the store and they should have charged me like $20 more. I kept pointing this out to the manager who was ringing me up and she kept ringing it up wrong. After the third attempt to correct her I looked at my sister and said thank you to the manager. It was rough walking out with an extra $20 but I really did try to help this manager. frank
  5. Need a bit more information. What size would you like to put in - storage wise? What is the make of the computer? If it is a really old system then you might have less choices than the very latest. Post as much info as you can. frank
  6. Fishboysmom, thanks for the notice as today it went down a couple bucks. I emailed them so lets see if they change the price since it hasnt even shipped yet. hpowers, yeah, that seems to be the case, especially ones that have multiple names. The strange thing is that BBB doesnt have any problems with this one???? Oops, Just checked again with BBB and there seem to be a number of 86th... some with street addys and some only internet. The one I was gonna order from has NO info... but if you do a complaint google search 86th comes up. frank
  7. Yes. I decided to go with Amazon as it looks like 86th has a pretty bad rep - rip off scammers. I also picked up a VTech phone and that freebie 2GB card. Fishboysmom, how does the amazon price difference thing work? Do I have to keep an eye on it and if it goes lower what do I do??? thanks all, frank p.s. The price went down to $154.74 overnite!
  8. Looking for the best deal on the Canon Powershot A570. I found it at 86th Street Photo (http://www.86photovideo.com/products.asp?product_id=17847&from_search=17847) for $139. I also want to buy a set of rechargeable batteries and have been reading about the Sanyo Eneloop and Uniroos Hybrio. Any info on these (reviews) or best place to buy. Lastly looking for a good cordless phone with answer machine. No idea what to look for. Want to spend under $50 if possible. thanks, frank
