  1. Ok, I bought a Dell. I placed the order via telephone. I got my computer last week and today I got the Acknowledgement. While I was looking at it, I noticed $60 worth of charges for stuff I didn't request or want. Has anyone had this issue with Dell before? Additionally, I asked for bluetooth...but I can't tell if it's on my laptop of not.
  2. I had two personal experiences this year that I could have lived without. I'll make my story short. There was a guy waiting in electronics at WalMart. He said he'd been there since 2 a.m. and he wasn't going to get out of line....and he had to use the bathroom....so he did. He pooped!!! Then we were waiting in line at the Target bathroom and a lady peed her pants! I mean come on...that's ridiculous.
  3. According to our local store, you can use a store coupon for each item you buy unless otherwise stated on the coupon. So, as long as your original total is $50 before tax and you've bought at least 3 things, you could use a $10 off $50, a $5 off $30 and a $2 off $10.
  4. My BF buddies and I were at JCPenney at 4 a.m. I just wanted a new Christmas tree. Got that and some clothes - no problem. There wasn't much I wanted this year. We got to Target about 6:30 and they still had everything. The big surprise was that we got to WalMart about 7:30 or 8 and they still had almost everything. The only thing that was hard to find was the Cabbage Patch Kids....we ended up finding them laying around in different areas of the store. Our WalMart probably had 20 of the Barbie rideon cars when we were in the toy section. They still had at least 2 pallets of Bratz, loads of the small Barbie bugs, and all kinds of the other toys. By far, it was the least busy I've ever seen WalMart on BF. Actually, it was even easy to find parking...and that WalMart usually is packed!

The only thing that disappointed me was that ToysRUs was ridiculous. We didn't even attempt it. At 4 a.m. the parking lot was full and ppl were parking at the gas station across the street. We didn't even attempt it. My 3 year old daughter wants a BumbleBee Transformer for Christmas. Our WalMart had NO transformers on the shelves. I guess they didn't want ppl to pricematch. I refuse to spend $80 for a Transformer for a 3 year old girl....besides, my hubby would be jealous.

  5. I have the same problem with my DD3. She has everything. She's getting new bedding (My Little Pony). I'm trying to find stuff she actually needs and making it from Santa. I know that sounds lame, but our house overfloweth! Santa may bring shelves and storage boxes. I'm so ashamed.
  6. Thanks for all the ideas. I'll have to keep an eye out for clearance stuff after Christmas this year to put up for next year. We didn't realize he'd have his own store this time last year.

I like the mug w/coffee, etc. ideas....I think the movie bucket idea would be good too, but we do not have a local Blockbuster or Movie Gallery (just a little "mom & pop" video store - no gift cards).

Whatever I'm going to do, I need to start!

  7. I see that "Boss Gifts" have been talked about, but does anyone have any suggestions about what to get employees? My husband is a first-year manager at a pharmacy. He has about 15 employees - 3 shift leaders, 2 pharmacists, Head pharmacy tech and others. He doesn't know whether to buy for everyone or just the supervisors and pharmacists. He wants everyone to know that they are appreciated.

What do you think? Individual gifts (something not too expensive, yet thoughtful :) ) or perhaps fix up the breakroom - new microwave, cart, coffee pot, etc. Any gift ideas?

Of course, he's delegated this to me

  8. Amazon.com currently has the Canon Powershot S3 IS for $309.95. I ordered this camera on 3/15 and it was $324.94 then. *Yes I did get a price adjustment* :P

I don't know if this is HOT...but I've been looking at this camera for awhile and this is the cheapest I've seen it (besides a misprint in the dell flyer).
