I just clicked on the link; clicked on the YC ad and tried to buy some more of the gift sets I bought two days ago. Of course, they are all gone, but I managed to discover a few other finds that were on sale that would make great gifts. As I added the items to my cart and occasionally went back and clicked on the link to view my cart, I received a message: "you qualified to purchase an Electric Home Fragrancer for only $5." I didn't know anything about that promotion and am still not sure how to take advantage of it. I suppose I must choose one of the Fragrancers, put it in my cart and when I go to check-out the price will drop from $12.99 to $5. FYI: I received that message when my cart had $39 worth of merchandise in it and that is before the 25% off. I have a feeling if someone spends maybe $20 or $25, then that is how they would qualify for the special secret promo. Why does everything have to be so secret? I also put the promotion code YCFF08 where instructed and a pop-up window told me that the 25% had already been applied and will reduce my total price at check-out. I think the problems some people may be having with Yankee Candle is that they didn't read the "fine print" under the original sale ad. Why YC has to hide all of the info for us to to access the promotions, bugs me; they make everything as difficult as a scavenger hunt. I hope this info has helped some of you that were having problems getting the 25% off. The only caveat is that you cannot use other codes; only the one provided for the present sale; BUT...you can use that code to purchase ANYTHING they have for sale in the entire online store. Another suggestion: Sometimes I will buy the things I see online, and then run over to my local YC store with coupon in hand. Many times the store will have put different items up for sale that were not featured in the web-based ad, just to get rid of them. And remember with the coupon, you will be able to get an additional 25% off. I am such a sale junkie!! Another FYI: YC has now started selling "Beanswax" candles. That means candles made from soy. The candles are all natural. Another reason soy candles are gaining popularity is because soy is a renewable source. Good for the environment; good for the economy! If for some reason you missed this sale; I guarantee YC will have another promotion sent to my Inbox by Sunday. I am keeping my fingers crossed that they will have another "buy one, get one free" on the jar candles. As soon as Yankee Candle sends me info about the next sale, I will post it on GottaDeal. Happy Hunting to you all!!

http://www.yankeecandle.com/yc/html/retail/Email_HTML/web_friendsFamilySale.htmlhttp://www.yankeecandle.com/yc/html/retail/Email_HTML/web_friendsFamilySale.html Click on this link and scroll down the page to READ THE DIRECTIONS under the Yankee Candle ad. The directions will instruct you on how to get the 25% off of your entire purchase. Yankee Candle also provides a phone number to call their catalog sales department if you want to order by phone. It says to mention the code: YCFF08. This site also directs the buyer to click on/through the ad to shop and the 25% will be added automatically to the sale. You can also shop in the stores because the ad provides a printable coupon. Remember the 25% off code is invalid after 12/07/08...I think the sale ends 11:59 EST on the 7th http://www.yankeecandle.com/yc/html/retail/Email_HTML/web_friendsFamilySale.htmlhttp://www.yankeecandle.com/yc/html/retail/Email_HTML/web_friendsFamilySale.html I think the problems people may be having with Yankee Candle is that they didn't read the "fine print." Be patient and read the entire Yankee Candle ad that you will see when you click on the above link. I have not had any problems clicking on the ad as described; ordering already reduced items; and getting an additional 25% off, with only an $8 shipping charge. So your choices are order online, order by phone, or use the coupon to shop in the stores...or try all three for variety!

This might make a nice little host/hostess gift for a Holiday party: A small canvas tote; inside there is a small jar candle, a votive candle, and a fluted glass votive holder. Originally $17.99-reduced to $8.99, and with the additional 25% off, it will cost something like $6.85. Not a bad deal. I plan on getting a few to keep on hand for "just in case..." http://http://www.yankeecandle.com/cgi-bin/ycbvp/product_detail.jsp?oid=5629897

Yankee Candle Pre-Holiday and Thanksgiving Weekend Sale
RRF replied to RRF's topic in Online Hot Deals
Keep an eye on the Yankee Candle web-site. They will continue to drastically reduce the candles as we get closer to Christmas and after. In the past, I have seen the large jars go as low as $2 and the gift sets as low as 75% off. The only problem is that if you wait until you get closer to Christmas to purchase anything, the choices aren't as good. -

Couldn't sleep last night: to excited about BF. Thought I would get a nap in this afternoon-body said NO WAY... Still up and plan on staying up. If I fell asleep now-not that I think I can- I would never get up until Sunday night. Oh, No, I don't have a shopping addiction.! Who me? Just once a year, though. My son use to think I was nuts to go out in the cold and dark on BF, but I sent him this web-site...Well...He is still up and we will be working as a team-he taking NE Baltimore, me taking the upper E side.
