  1. I need one of these monitors for myself since i have a chatroom burnt fadely into my 19'' dell lcd. I was at target and looked at the westing, wasn't plugged in but noticed you couldn't adjust it. The samsung at bb must be a very old model because hardly anything comes up on google on that model, only the 225bw and 226bw, this is the 220wm.

edited for links for people without Excel

  2. how often do they need to be replaced?

    Typically 2000-3000hours

Mine has lasted over a year per bulb - I use it for gaming and movies. I may hook up a tv tuner soon and get some HD content on there.

It's great if you like having people over to play games or watch movies.

  3. Emachines' are horrible. Don't waste 200 dollars, unless you want a temporary desktop that usually starts breaking down within 1-2 years of purchase.

Wow, I bet you heard they suck. eMachines are not that bad. They get a bad name because who primarily buys eMachines? Your everyday average joe who has no idea how to work a computer so they blame the machine.

I personally own the doorbuster eMachines from the last two year's black friday sales at BB, and they run as well as they did when I bought them. I take care of my stuff.

  4. Well, let's shift from the original question about the XBOX Arcade ... We are thinking about the PS3 now b/c it has dropped $100 in price - and my son already has a great library of PS2 games, Blu Ray disks, and PSP games. Do all of these things work together? Can anyone give an opinion about the PS3 -vs- XBOX Elite? Thanks a bunch!

Remember, the 40GB version of the PS3 ($399) will NOT play PS2 games.

  5. I saw this rumor on a few other boards...I think it was just started on one board and spread...

Personally, I have real doubts on this being real.

    I could see maybe a $300 laptop...maybe even a $250... but $100 is kinda of out there

Best Buy had a $250 laptop last year

  6. My question is if the LCD TV/DVD combo plays hd-dvds. Does anybody know? All it says is that hd is displayed when connected to a hd source.

NO, it will not play hd-dvd discs. It will display hd content from an hd antenna or hd cable/satellite box.

  7. I wouldnt be surprised on the controller price. They are fairly cheap to make. I am not sure about the XBOX controllers, but the Nintendo Wii controller only costs Nintendo about $3 to make and they sell it for $25. I couldnt imagine the XBOX controller costs that much more to make

There's more to pricing than just manufacturing costs e.g. packaging, marketing, distribution, etc. However, if the controller prices are REAL, then I'm grabbing about 8-10

  8. I bought a projector for $1300 + extra for the warranty. About a year later, the unit stopped working (bulb?) Anyhow, I went to get the bulb replaced and apparently they didnt stock bulbs or fix it anymore. They told me they'd get me a new projector at the retail price of $1300.

That's a deal! A new projector with WAY better features and specifications plus the warranty transfers to the new unit.

  9. Wow, they look almost identical except for the RAM and HD. I'm going with Staples since I have an inside connection there and won't have to stand in line or worry about them being out of stock. I was also checking out that ATI X1600 at Best Buy for $99. Looks like a good price but was reading some bad reviews on Newegg about it heating up and locking up. So now I'm not so sure. :g_shrug:

My cousin had that card up until recently when it just gave out. He played a lot of games for long hours so I believe that heat issue. Nothing an aftermarket heatsink/fan couldn't fix.
