I tried to order it and it was saying sold out - about 30 minutes later it started showing as in stock. Totally don't get it but I ordered one [emoji4]

Totally stealing this idea - my 18 daughter is a huge WD fan and she will be heading to college next fall - what a neat way to start a box of "essentials" for her to take with her!! Thanks for sharing!!

Liking the iTunes gift card sale price. I have 2 teenagers who both want iTunes for Christmas and not much else..
And for me - I want the garbage pail! How sad is that?

I took the laptop to bed with me and kept checking the sites for the items I really wanted, like the laptop from WM last year. Got to sleep pretty late (or early am if truth be told) but got everything I wanted without having to fight the crowds. I've done it this way for the past 3 BF's...

Online all the way. We did go out to some stores the afternoon of Black Friday and by us the stores were deserted by then - I was able to get all the things I wanted from WalMart and Home Depot that I couldn't order online. Hadn't planned to go but we had gotten our Christmas tree and the stand we had was too big for the trunk so we needed a new stand.

I remember going with my Mom when I was a kid but the sales by us were more the night before Thanksgiving than Black Friday... I remember going with lists of record albums (yes, vinyl) to help her but as gifts. This would be the 70's...

Be forewarned the shipping from this seller is SLOW!! I ordered a few things from them and they all took almost a month to arrive because they ship from China. Don't order this if you want it in time for Christmas!

I just ordered 2 jackets and a tote bag for my mom for Mother's Day and it came to $11.57 shipped.

It took me about an hour this morning but I was able to get one at about 3:15 am.. I just kept hitting the refresh button and eventually one showed in stock and I was able to order it for home delivery.

ugh! had the computer for 178 in my cart then they said it was out of stock when i tried to check out! same with a $15 video game!
the same thing happened to me and I just kept hitting the refresh key - eventually I was able to get one. Took about an hour..

Kept being told that that the $178 laptop was out of stock - in frustration I hit the refresh key a few times and - lo and behold - suddenly one was available and my order went through for shipping to home. Of course I'll believe it fully once I get that shipping confirmation email... that was the only thing I planned to go out shopping for.. hooray!!
What are the odds that items will be added back INTO stock at all? I know it's a far stretch, but thought I'd ask...

So if they are starting to hand out 6pm wristbands at 3 pm, what time is the store actually opening? I know the first sale starts at 6 so I had assumed that's what time the store is opening. Are they opening earlier than 6 or are they handing out wristbands to people lined up outside the store? This is why I haven't brick and mortar shopped Black Friday in years - it's so confusing!! -

Wonder if the computer will also be online at that price? Its available to order online now at the regular price...
