  1. We now go to super Walmart so we don't have to deal w/ this. But when we used to go to our regular WM we would ask the associate at the door about items. They were usually helpful.
  2. For those of us that have 24hr stores that actually stay open, go early. Get the stuff you want to price match and put it in your cart. That way that part of it is out of the way and all you have to focus on at 5 is the BF items from there.

Also, adding on to what Brad said....if you buy the items online alot of the stores have free shipping or free after rebate(Sears had this for the last 2 years) or free shipping if you spend x amount. And alot of states don't charge sales tax for online orders(mine isn't one of them.) So you may actually save by buying online.

  3. I have been doing BF since 1994. Went to TN to visit my Aunt and her and cousin were talking about the sales. So my XH(hubby at the time) and I went to the nearest big town...half an hour away. We didn't even have to get up early...got there about 10 or so and got some great deals. Even got the stuff they gave away(miss those days) that morning.

As for being on this board I joined for BF. I have been coming here for 4 years I believe. Last year I came and looked but due to marital issues didn't post...nor did I go out for BF last year until late in the evening(I did still get a few items though.)

  4. Does anyone else have to drive far to get to the closest retail store?? Is it worth it to drive for you?

We have a Kmart here. And an Ace. Nothing else. Next closest town is an hour and a half away(about 90 mins). And yes we drive it for BF. Definately worth the drive to get the bargains we have gotten. Even if I added on the price of gas(trip takes about $20 if that) the tv I got back in '05 alone made up for the gas and then some....not to mention everything else I bought.

  5. We always played games on the holidays...esp New Years Eve. I really like Uno attack..and it's only $10 at Walmart...or at least it was. Also loved playing Taboo. Haven't tried the scene it games but want too. They sound like fun.
  6. As kids we always did it one at a time...for pics and so everyone could see what we got...my kids were too young the last few years but starting this year it will be one at a time. Gotta use the video camera that hubby has had in storage for YEARS on something...;)
  7. I can't wait for this sale. From the end of Dec thru about February I pick up toys and Christmas at the discounted price. And this year since we have NO decorations and I need to replace them...I plan on buying as much as I can afford.
  8. I DO NEED THE MONEY... EBAY CHARGES YOU TO SELL ANYTHING...I LOOk online and there are two star bucks about 35 min from here so maybe i will drive out there are i think we might be meeting friend tommorrow for dinner out that way will see if hubby will stop.. that strawberry thign sounds great..

but hubby likes coffee but he is a picky ass,, folgers and that is it.. maybe he would try it if i got it for him...

i would love ot go to toys r us but not driving all the way out there today just for one toy from todays deals,,, i wish we had stores close.. i hate living way out here in the hills...

i wanted one thing yest but was not driven all that way with 4 kids... for it ...

You could use the TRU giftcard online...but will have to pay shipping on the item.
  9. I posted before about my two grab bags that arrived with a broken bottle of tomato cologne. The stuff got wet and smells like the cologne, but seems usable. I reported it to the company and they quickly sent me two new grab bags. Then today, two more came! So I ended up getting 6 for the price of 2. Such a deal! :trampolin

Wow that is so awesome of them. Can't beat that customer service.
