    Bestbuy has Sony 50 dvd -r and +r on sale for 14.99. I just picked some up and they were made in japan.

    Made in japan media are considered to be the best quality media.

    Can you run DVDInfo (or a similar app) on the discs to get the exact manufacturer for these discs?

    Went to the Woodbury Commons outlets in Woodbury, NY yesterday. It was insane. To get INTO the vacinity of the parking lot took about 15-25 minutes (lost track since we were talking). Then getting through the parking lot and then a parking space was about another 35 minutes or so. Then each store at the outlets we wanted to go to (Timberland, The Gap, The North Face) all had lines outside of the store even though we got there about...14 hours after they had opened :)

    At first, my GF didn't get her little timberlands she wanted since the last visdit we took there where they didn't have them, I didn't see anything I wanted in there that I really wanted and besides, it was like a tornado had hit the store from the inside out. Right as we were about to leave (10pm) we decided that maybe the guy who said there were no boots her size was lying and there wasn't a line anymore, so we went back in and she got them. Mind you, she was already happy since I had gotten her new little diamond earrings since her the ones I gave her last year were 'lost' by someone else.

    It was such a bad night afterall...except that I'm now sick.

    I won't go near Best Buy on BF. They have had the police there the past couple of years to keep the fights under control...

    Yeah, I was considering going dressed up as a wrestler along with my friend as Hulk Hogan and teasing the people waiting on Best Buy's line with catchphrases and other silly, non-sensical garbage. Maybe hand out flyers with stories about BB + BF along with BestBuySux.org stories to wake them up (or put them back to sleep).

    I think the police would arrest me for inciting a riot, so that idea was put on the backburner...but it would make for an entertaining clip for a "Black Friday Gone Wild" video we can all sell to generate $ for GD consisting of BF sales gone completely wacky :)

    Last year on BF we went to Best Buy and it was the first and last time. It was a huge mess. It was the most unorginized place, rude and hateful people I have ever seen. I will not go back there again. We heard associataes tell people to get in lines for items and they would be in line for 30 minutes or and hour and find out it's the wrong line. No one knew what they where talking about. We asked if we could get some of the items since the sections was roped off - the guy said no you had to wait in the line and 10 minutes later him and another guy where passing out the blank dvd's to anyone who wanted to buy them. I know it would be hard to work BF, but they don't have to be so rude and/or ignorant.

    I boycott those bastards almost every day and I only go in when they have a CD/DVD newly released that I know they make almost ZERO margin on...like most new releases hoping to get people in the store to sell them a CD/DVD player...yes that's their logic. They as a company are disorganized and actually promote the behavior you witnessed. But that's another story for another time...
