BF for me is all about my kids, has been since my son was 2 months old (tho I've snagged a few things for hub too).
But overall the sales haven't peaked my interest this year. Maybe 1 thing here, 1 thing there. Unless Target has something incredible, I'll sleep in.

LeapPad does have a Thomas book. Not sure about My First LeapPad.
My First LeapPad does have a Thomas book. I can't recall the title, as I wrapped my son's things last night.

I'm probably going to spend $75-100 per kid. If I bought too much more than that, combined with what I know my mom has bought, we'd need a new house under the tree.

The random conversations with strangers is one of the things I like about BF. :)

Not sure of the whole story, just the aftermath. Someone turing into our Kmart parking lot ended up with their car upside down in the median! The road has huge skid marks and car parts and a big spot where you can see the car ended up. No clue how it got upside down, or what. It knocked out power to quite a large area too! I didn't think Kmart had anything THAT worthwhile!
P.S. just checked our local paper online and it was a 3 car accident. A mini van ended upside down, a big truck smashed it's front and not sure what other vehicle was involved. Ouch!
If it wasn't for the bit about the power, I'd swear you lived where I do. We too had an accident at the entrance to our Kmart that resulted in an upside down vehicle.
No injuries here, though I'm kind of sore from all the walking/running. Plus the cold.

Left the house just after 4:30am, and I was home around 8am.

About 150. I'm happy with that. :)

Target was my last stop on the way home, and I still got everything on my list from there. It was very calm, and to my surprise, they still had LOTR for $5.88. :)

Playskool discovery table at Sears. After being shuffled back and forth between the toy area and infants, I learn that they never even got any in. I checked to see if they would rain check, because in years past they have. I was told there would be no rain checks as it was limited quantites only.
Um, don't you have to get them in first to be limited.
Kmart was sold out as well.

I've been at WM a couple different years, and they've had ample amounts of BF items. I've had times I end up back later in the day and there are still doorbusters left. A few things sell out, especially in toys, but I've never felt compelled to rush there.

Definately call. I haven't heard of Target price matching, but I called my local WM and they said as long as 1) I have the ad, 2) It is a specific price (not percent off), 3) They have the item, and 4) I checkout during the time that the competetor would be open (ie, if Kohls is 6-11, they would not price match at 530, but would at 605), they will match BF prices

Only problem is some places don't allow vacation time to be taken. A few years back my husband worked retail, and no vacation time was allowed during the morning BF rush.
