    Crazy that today's prices were different in store and online... We ended up ordering online in the store and hanging out at the mall longer than expected. Picked up the projector and used the 15% off coupon. Hadn't planned on getting it or is have ordered earlier [emoji3]

    Do the younger ones live at home? You could open gifts with them on Christmas Eve (or Dec 26)and avoid unnecessary arguments. I do agree with those above - they are grown men, time to act like it. The season is about generosity and family. Not about counting and coveting.

    So.. DD wants a galaxy S6.  i saw Best buy had them today for 1$ with a 2 yr contract.  (she is eligible for an upgrade).  Is there any reason I should wait? 

     

    I do not want to pay a monthly installment... I'd be willing to commit to 2 yrs - since we've been doing it this way for years.....

    UPDATE  - If I looked at the ads I would see it is 1C on BF too.. I guess i can wait :)

    5. If you could make stores change one thing about Black Friday besides opening times, what would it be?

    Order - they need to provide what it takes to have order - security, more of sale items, whatever.  I remember the brawls for cabbage patch kid dolls - it's stupid to FIGHT, TRAMPLE, and forget our humanity for stuff.  nouns.  I am rarely in the midst of a throng of shoppers since there isn't one thing that means more than my morals.

    This comment bugs me...  makes me sad, really.   You have a family... you and your daughter are still family. 

     

     

    It's really just me and my daughter now, so she is the one who gets all the gifts on Christmas morning, but its still organized.  I will give them to her one at a time to open, talk about the item, enjoy it for a few minutes and then move onto the next.   I also give them to her in a certain order, like starting with the smallest first and working up to the biggest most expensive gift.    When I had a family, it was still organized with doing one at a time so each person could see what each other got.

    we stopped getting gifts for teachers when they stopped writing thank you notes.  Kid made gifts are the best... after that we fell back on school supplies (which we stocked up on in August) as they are starting to run out by December... and then gift cards.  We have stayed away from baked goods...
