My wife just read in the local paper that the Land O Lakes Wal Mart ran out of the 1 hour guarantee things refused to do anything and asked the police on site to tell the customers and make them go away. BAD PR in my eyes.
They ran out or certificates? My place just had a stack of cards and gave them to whoever wanted one. Even asked how many you wanted. Lots of people whining on the walmart FB page too although I had no problems at the store. The website is crap though. Took me about 50 tries to get through the "check out" procedure on the website due to eh high volume I"m sure.

Well, got 2 of the 32" TVs (tickets for them anyway), one of the 23" ones, and some other random stuff. I saw people with 3 and more of the Funai TVs in their cart. They totally weren't caring about the 1 per person thing.
Too bad the 1hourguarantee site is being throttled because it's getting hammered.

I would think they'd have to do the $98 32 in tv within the next 12 hours. Why try to compete with walmarts price if you're not going to beat them to the punch?
Any word on a kindle fire hd 8.9?
Exactly what I was thinking. I'm just planning on heading to Walmart at 6:30 today to get one of theirs since even if I happen to be at my computer when Amazon does theirs, the chances of getting one are slim to none anyway.

Sure wish they'd hurry up with the 32" TV for $98. Otherwise I'll just have to get the one at Walmart tomorrow.

All these deals should appear when you go to the blackfriday page and scroll through the upcoming deals right? The only thing I'm interested in is the 32" TV just so I don't have to go to Walmart on Thanksgiving day to get the one from there.

Seiki vs Funai for a $98 32" TV? Don't know anything about either of them.
No word on what will get released when though, eh? Getting that would mean no going out on Thanksgiving Day.

Hmm, was looking at appliances and most of the dishwashers in the ad are the same price today as in the ad. No big savings there. *sigh* And today I have a 10% off code. hmm

Im kinda wondering too.Do u have to be in the line within that hour to get a ticket or do they need to hand u a ticket within the hour.How long does it take to check ppl out realize ur out of product then start handing out tickets.My luck person in front of me would get one buzzer would sound and i would be out of luck.lol

So how does this "1 hour in stock guarantee" thing work? As long as I show up within an hour of them opening I'm guaranteed to be able to buy the item? If so, that sounds pretty cool. Could use the 32" $98 TV for the basement for sure.
Oh, nevermind. Zoomedin to read the tiny print and see that they give you a card or something to have it shipped if they sell out. That's pretty cool.

I don't see a category for Appliances in the list on the main bf site. Can that be added? We're specifically looking for things like a refrigerator, dishwasher, stove, etc. Hopefully those aren't going to be lumped into Home Items with the thousands of other random items that will end up in there. I'd limit it to Major Appliances in that category and leave small appliances in Home Items.

Oh, we won't be going ON Black Friday, but will be going Saturday or Sunday. I hope to have most of the design done at home to make the appointment not take as long. They told me they don't make appointments and it's first come, first served so we'll have to get there somewhat early. Have to rent a u-haul or something to get it all home though. heh.

They have their Kitchen Sale thing going on now through December 4th. BF weekend just happens to be the only time we can make the trek. We always go there on the weekends to that's no problem. I just wasn't sure if BF weekend woudl be even busier than a normal weekend...

We are looking to get Ikea Cabinets and BF weekend might be the only weekend we can get to Ikea since it's a 2+ hour drive for us to get there. Anyone kow if Ikea is crazy busy that weekend for any reason? I don't know if they have BF deals or anythign since it's all just furniture. And if they do, if it's just Friday then hopefully things will be back to normal for Saturday and Sunday...
Anyone know? Specifically at the Schaumburg store but I figure they would all follow the same basic busyiness patterns.

I'm really not seeing anything that looks that great. Am I just missing something? My wife got the Lenovo Z580 (3rd gen i5-3210m, 8gigs, 750g HDD, 15" screen, etc) from Staples a few months back for $400 and I was looking for something smilar. I don't see anything that even comes close to that. I do see an HP at best Buy that has nearly the exact same specs for $500.
Was the previous deal relaly that amazing or do the BF laptop deal just suck?

The 1 hour guarantee part was supposed to be for the vouchers. They were supposed to stop handing them out at 7PM. They should have had the same number of wristbands as TVs they had so anyone with a band got a physical TV.
But I guess each store handled it differently. I got my tickets and placed the orders online so I'm good.
Hope everyone else had luck yesterday and today.
