Note that the $10 rebate is -"receive a $10 virtual f.y.e. gift card after mail-in rebate!" - so it is a "virtual" gift card, aI assume it will be good for online purchase only. It is a bait to buy fro mthem. Nonetheless, it is a good price (on Amazon - it is selling at 36 including shipping).

How is CC offer? Acer $479 here

It has Celeron M processor, not Pentium or AMD Dual-core. Should be ok for general use (surfing/email). Also, check if it can write DVDs
