  1. that sounds pretty cool! i know my daughter loves that sort of thing. unfortunately, i have gotten enough for her already! LOL!
  2. thanks for posting it. hmm... don't see anything too wonderful. LOL! but i am feeling stingy today. hee hee.
  3. the leapster tv system is 15.99 right now. i will watch it to see if it goes down again.
  4. my sister does pampered chef. i have bought a lot of stuff. LOVE the stonewear. have a couple of knives too. i know it's expensive, but i think it is worth it for some things. and as someone said, if you have a party you can get free stuff. i guess in february the special deal will be 2 half price items with a $150 party! that is a really great deal!! i wish i could get a pan set myself.... half price is $250, i think. but they are guaranteed for life. stonewear is 3 years. i think the knives are for life, but not positive on that.
  5. the prob we had with kmart is that we couldn't find any of the bf sale items. we had to search through the store. i don't think we will be going back there. one good thing about walmart, is that they don't hide the sale items. have them right out where you can see them.
  6. they used to make them to last. now they make them to last just past the warranty, so you have to replace them. we had a samsung that started having problems right about the time the warranty was up... a year. they did extend it, however, after my hubby fought with them about it. still couldn't fix it anyway, without jimmy rigging it. swore i'd never buy another samsung again.

    Online or Stores

That's what my sisters and I do. We wait in the car and walk up as the store is about to open. We just go in with the crowd. Some people give you dirty looks. But, eh. what do i care. We are not blood thirsty. My belief is that if i get it i get it. if not, eh, no big deal. My kids will get what they get.
  8. My husband fixes and installs cash registers and the credit card POS machines at walmart. He said he has been talking to one of the managers, and even THEY don't know what the sales will be. Things are coming to a warehouse and wrapped up in the plastic and they don't know what's what. Walmart keeping tight lipped on their sales this year??? I hope we can find out. Bob says if there is a good deal on flat screen he is going to get it. Talking about wanting me and him to go to the walmart about 20/30 miles from here to do BF. hmm...
  9. i thought i had put the link in there. go to this link http://www.neverscrub.com/ for the one that is free but pay $5 s/h.
  10. I don't know if this should be considered a freebie or not, because you do have to pay shipping and handling of $5. but they say it's free starter so you can see how it works. http://www.kaboomkaboom.com/templates/default/images/ns-title.gif
  11. if you don't need a screen, there are several other options. there are flash drive mp3 players that allow you to expand memory by buying SD card. my hubby has one, and we bought my daughter one at kmart for $30. there are varying degrees of these at varying prices. you can go to amazon.com and search for mp3 players to get a good idea of the different kinds you can get. i personally think that kids don't need something too pricey. i guess it depends. my daughter loses things. i would be so mad if i spent $100 on something and she lost it.
  12. My favorite gift was from my husband. he actually put some thought into it, so that makes it the best gift. he bought me a hardcover complete emily dickenson book. I had lost the one i had in the fire a few years ago. he also wrote me a note about how he hopes it inspires me to write again. he knows how much i miss writing. he also gave me a gift card to kohl's to buy some clothes and a gift card to go get lunch at olive garden while i am out shopping. oh, and he got me (the family) an over the stove microwave. he had jokingly told me he got me a dyson vacuum cleaner. i got really mad, because i did not want a vacuum cleaner for christmas present. oh boy was i mad!! it's not like the kitchenaid i got the christmas before the fire. i like baking. a vacuum cleaner to me says maid.
  13. I don't deal with rebates. some stores are better than others with this however. i soured after a couple of years ago office max rebates were such a big hassle. so i avoid them at all costs.
  14. One thing i can say about leapster... we have that and my daughter loves it. look at the games and ages they are for. i know leapster has games for up to 12? 13? and we had a problem with ours and they replaced it twice.... no questions asked. definitely worth the money.
  15. I have a 6 qt and I use it all the time. It is so great and you can get all kinds of attachments for it. if you look around you can get good deals on them. when i got mine it gave you an attachment. we got the meat grinder.
  16. can't you dispute the charges with the credit card company? you have a legitimate reason to do so.... if a company is charging you after you cancel, just dispute it. have you tried that? anyone?
  17. Blockbuster vs netflix blockbuster has an in store unlimited system. it was nice when i had the kids for the summer. could go in there every day to switch out the movies. but there was never anything good there. we had had netflix before, and found it took forever to get movies back. i never thought that they would do it purposefully, but it makes sense. they are basically the same as far as i am concerned. netflix was easier to order movies, whereas blockbuster changes pages when you click to add a movie and you have to go back to the screen. and it was easier with netflix to find movies, but blockbuster is ok. and i get in store rentals as well. my sister uses her instore rentals for games. last month they asked if i would prefer one free rental a week instead of the 2 a month, but i didn't know whether i should take that instead. so i still have the 2 a month. also sometime sthey give you coupon for free previously viewed movies, or buy one previously viewed and get one for $5 or something.
  18. bjs is good. but office max sucks as far as i am concerned. last year bf i had rebates that it said you could do online. in fact, it printed the rebate out and you still had to mail it. and it took forever to get! so i will never do an office max rebate again!!
  19. thanks for the info. won't let me go to checkout though. hmm.
  20. thanks for the welcome! and for the fyi regarding the amazon.com info.
  21. Leapfrog Leapster I am going to get this for my daughter for christmas. Well, maybe. We shall see. I have been looking around and Walmart.com has it (even the pink one is shown to be currently available) for 69.99. Of course that's plus shipping. Amazon has it also for the same price. but htey have the possibility of free shipping and a $10 rebate. I am not certain, but perhaps the rebate comes with the leapster in general, because I have seen the rebate mentioned on ebay and at other stores as well.
