  1. The LeapFrog DVD's (or VHS) are great! The Letter Factory and Talking Words Factory are the best in the series IMO. I can't recommend them enough! They do an excellent job of teaching letter recognition/sounds and phonics. I was not as impressed with the Math Circus, but it is still a cute show. I felt that they tried to cram too much information into a single setting. It should have been broken up into several DVD's like they did the alphabet/reading ones. But then again I love reading and hate math, so... lol

Thanks... I got my son the Talking Words Factory VHS and Math Circus VHS for $10.68 shipped!! :D

  2. Leapfrog.com has 70% off all LeapPad, My 1st LeapPad, & Little Touch LeapPad books! Lots of $3.90 books. They are also having an up to 55% off sale (although most of what I saw was more like 25% off).

    Some codes to use:

Free shipping (no minimum purchase required): WT8VFS

    $5 off $20 purchase: HL7LM

*I don't think the codes are stackable, but my order was less than $20 so I did not try.

  3. Well, you got further than I did  I just spent the last 40 minutes trying to get this straightened out and got nowhere. I ordered when the sale first went live and immediately received confirmation. Then this morning I got the cancellation email. I said pretty much the exact same things you did. The items I ordered are STILL showing in stock online but DOUBLE the price now. Only the excuse I got was that the system was overloaded, they oversold the amount they actually had, and even though those items showed to be instock on their site, that they indeed were not and were not available for ordering, even at the higher prices. And don't even get me started on my other order I placed at the first of the month that is STILL messed up

I got my email explaining the delay in confirmation this morning (I ordered at 5 am sharp- on Friday). Then a few hours later I got an email saying the order was CANCELLED! I called them and after being on hold for twenty minutes was told, yep, out of stock. I said it sure wasn't out of stock when I ordered the stuff. And in fact there were a few items I had wanted that DID show out of stock, so I had gone down there and gotten those, but bypassed the stuff that I had ordered earlier online, since it showed in stock and appeared to be fine.

I asked the lady if the stuff was out of stock, why did it STILL (tonite) show all the items (minus one) as IN STOCK? She put me on hold for another 15 minutes and a "supervisor" got on. She explained to me that all online orders are dependant on availability. HUH? It showed IN STOCK... and is STILL showing in stock. She said no, that that was in stock for other areas... I said NO... this is when I log in and use MY zip code! She finally agreed to redo the order for me... at TODAYS prices. I said NO! Finally she said she could do it at today's prices, then credit me back the difference. She didn't want to give me the $10 off $50 like I got initially, but when I said to forget it, that I was going to complain to high heaven and back and raise a huge stink, then she said she would do it. MAN!!! What a PITA! Now let's see if they fix this all correctly!!!

I didn't get much sympathy from her when I said had I known it was an "iffy" situation, I would have just gone the 4 stinking blocks from my house to the B&M to buy ALL of the items I wanted and forgotten the dang internet ordering. I am steering clear of Sears' online buys til they fix the system. What is it they say? Me thinks the patients are in charge of the assylum!

  4. You might want to check with an inexpensive magazine subscription...I forget how to access them, check in the online forum...they can be really inexpensive!

If they are hunters or like the outdoors, then Best Deal Magazines will have Field & Stream as their "Deal of the Day" magazine for $3.99 this Saturday (Oct 20th). Use code QPON15OFF for an additional 15%, making it $3.39 for a one year subscription. Other coupon codes available are:

    MQRSS610 $15 off $75

    MQPSS610 $10 off $50

    MNDCJ225 $5 off $30

In the past I have done baked goods, candy, calenders, summer sausage (hunting husband, lol), homemade jelly & honey baskets. They really liked the jelly and fresh honey. They also like the baked goods (you know what they say about the way to a man's heart, lol). I really like the movie theme basket and the wallet with a gift card ideas, but I am REALLY cheap as I try to stay around $5 each unless it is a drawn name, then we have a $25 limit.

  5. Here are some more codes. I know for sure that the first two work because I used them today. This is a great sale! Before sale prices and codes, my total was $240.86...after, it was $93.53 shipped :D Got some much needed new clothes!

  7. Thank you! They have lots of great toy buys right now that ship free with $25 purchase. I don't know how to include pictures to make the awesome list that lilquiet made, but here are 3 links were I found several more great deals (including soft body Disney Princesses for $4.33 - my niece is going to be thrilled!)

Sorry...I was trying to direct you to the Top Sellers in Toys and the Movers & Shakers in Toys, but my links keep changing to a Gotta Deal page

  8. The princess dolls are also part of the $5 items being offerred (reg. $12.95). The beach towels are the same ones several of us bought during the 2/$15 deal (reg. $19.95), except this time they have removed the option to personalize it. These offers are good until midnight May 6th or while supplies last (except SHIPFIVE...it expires May 7th) so theoretically you might be able to use your $25 gift certificate from the Mix Stix deal...that is if they still have the sale items in stock by then.
  9. Please be very careful with this site. I ordered a ruby ring and never received it. It was a complete nightmare. I had to file a paypal claim as well as get my credit card company involved to get my money back. They were very confrontational and extremely unprofessional. It was such a nightmare that I actually filed a complaint with the BBB, which I have never done before. Personally, I will NEVER use them again and would not recommend them at all. The BBB gives them an F rating...wish I would have looked them up before I ordered! I do not have enough posts to post the link to the BBB report, but if you go to the BBB website and do a search for Bidz you can find the report.
