am i the only one wondering if this is the ad that was gave to Brad by the company itself.
I'm with ya. These prices are everyday prices aside from a few items. If this is sears BF ad, they get an epic fail from me.
-
my CC had alot of them left at 10am, store was pretty much normal capacity also.
-
after seeing this type of chaos at TRU last year I just drove by and watched this year, sure enough it was complete chaos just in the parking lot.
-
I am heading to local Sears after 3 today Hopefully they will have the 46 inch 1080P in stock and PM to CC price. Then I will try to get the 10% rebate or the no interest financing till 2010.
My local Sears was out of it but ordered me one along with the PM and additional off it was $1199 :)

yes, you can't tell the difference between the two of them unless you have a blue ray/hd dvd.
There's alot more to it than that. Depending on what kind of feed you have, set calibration, viewing distance, etc. you can tell a difference and only paying $200 more for a 1080p set is pretty sweet.
-
I posted on this a few days ago. went smooth for me as well, $1199 for the 46" 1080p Holla!
-
I can't believe CC wouldn't put their ad in the T-Day paper but I've been through a couple more with no luck. I hope the folks at Sears will take a print off of their website to PM with.

This site is fantastic. I've been visiting daily since Halloween, and with the help of Brad and the fine people here, I've completed all of my shopping BEFORE Black Friday!
Picked up the PS3 with the free controller at Circuit City this morning. Picked up the MP4 players and the key chain photo albums for my wife at Sears last night. And picked up a couple of 4 GB Pro Duo mem sticks at Office Max this morning.
No standing in line for me!!
Can't thank this site enough.

What Circuit City did you go to this morning? I live in Indy and they are all closed today.
-
I've bought four papers today and not one of them has a Circuit City ad in it, everyone elses ads but not CC. Anyone else have this problem?
-
guys check w/your sears stores. Mine has hundreds comming the week after black friday and will let you purchase on bf and pick up as soon as they come in. I already got mine on ff night for 998.00. see ya:yup:
Was that for the 720p or the 1080p?

I went to my Best Buy today to look at the 40" 1080p Samsung that was one of the secret deals on BB's website, and I have to say that I was REALLY REALLY disappointed. The screen was fuzzy and it seriously looked like a standard DEF TV...
AVOID THIS TV AT ALL COSTS!!!!
You can't go by what a tv looks like in the store. Everyone and their brother has messed with controls and most stores have so many units split off the feed that it degrades the picture. Every tv needs to be calibrated out of the box for the best picture. You can easily gain 30% more picture quality by using a dvd meant for setting up tv's, like DVE http://www.videoessentials.com/products_main.php . Anyone who just pulls a tv out of the box and doesn't tweak it is missing out on alot. Do your research and read up on whatever sets your interested in to get the most for your money and also Samsung makes some of the best sets out there.

So when can you/we put the actual order in? I just want to know when I can confirm this.
If you just want the 720p then mine will order it now and let you bring the receipt back on BF. If you want to PM the 1080p from CC then bring in an ad on BF/Sat since CC's is a 2 day sale, they will order it if not in stock. Again this is how my local store is handling it and they are very nice compared to others so YMMV.

spend a little more and get the 1080p model by PM'ing CC's 2 day sale price of $1299-10% = $1169
-
Store manager called me tonight and said that corp decided to print a retraction on the mistake and won't be offering $900 off the tv but he said that as long as the one CC is selling for $1299 has the same model # as the one they carry that he would PM plus take the extra 10% off. So $1299-10%= $1169.10 which works for me! He also said they would order it if it wasn't in stock so check with your local Sears, hopefully they're as nice as mine :)
-
Depends on which model your after. The 768p or 1080p? Right now the 1080p is $2099, whereas the 768p is $1899. Circuit City will have the 1080p as well on BF for $1299 so even if this falls through you should be able to PM it at Sears (since it's not a doorbuster at CC, 2 day sale) and get the extra 10% off. Again that's the 1080p model.
-
you know you can just click on televisions on the left hand side in the ad listings and it will list all the tv's right?

Central Indiana (don't want to get anyone in trouble) The problem is though that the part # listed is 71185 which is the 768p model. I explained the ad mistake to the manager and he in turn called the district manager who said they were aware of it and are working out what to do. I was told to come back in Monday, I'll keep everyone updated.

Here's the frontpage scan of the BF ad my local Sears gave me today.

If your looking for an HD dvd player then check ebay. HD is a dead format, blu-ray won the war with Toshiba finally pulling the plug on it after all the movie studios opted not to continue producing dvd's in both HD and Blu-ray, sticking with blu-ray only. I have a nice HD dvd player that was a total waste of money now.
