  1. My 10 year old daughter is asking for Disney Infinity. (I have 6 kids, ages 16, 12, 10, 6, 3, and 1.) The 1 year old is the only boy. My question is this: is the Disney Infinity game good for girls? Do they have girly characters? And how does it work? People compare it to Skylanders, but we don't have that one. My husband is wary of it because it seems to nickel and dime you. Like there's all this extra stuff you have to pay for. Could someone explain how this type of game works? Is it worth it? Do you think a girl would enjoy it?

My other question is: my husband would like GTA5 Special Edition. Apparently he read enough reviews that said the special edition is worth it, so he wants that one. Is this something that can be found in stores or just online? Is it something that might be on sale on BF or before Christmas?

    Thanks :)

  2. I don't like the stores opening up before midnight. I'm a night owl and once the kids are in bed, I wouldn't mind going out shopping with some friends. I don't like that stores are opening at 5 or 7 or even 9. I hate getting up early, but I did it every year to get good deals. The past couple years have been kind of blah for me though. So I'll probably do a little shopping online, maybe go out at midnight, or a "late early" morning - like 6 or 7 am instead of 4 or 5. It really depends on if anything in the ads match what my kids want.

  3. ok quick question has anyone bought the Brave bow and arrow set ? my dd4 wants it this year and it looks like its pretty flimsy and can bend easily ... didnt know if there was another bow and arrow set that might be better looked at the nerf rebelle stuff but looks too big for her just yet . the only places that have the Brave set are target and tru as well.

My daughter got the Brave bow with the suction cups last Christmas. She was 5. We have a glass back door and she had a ball shooting the arrows at it, but they didn't last long at all. I think it came with 4 arrows. One was broken within the week, the next one a few weeks later, and by the summer, there was only one left. She still likes playing it, but with only one arrow she gets bored retrieving it each time. She keeps asking for a better one. My 10 year old daughter got a real junior bow last Christmas, but I'm not ready for my now 6 year old to be using that one. I'm hoping to find a different suction cup one so she can keep using the back door as the target :)

  4. I've seen a lot of the iTikes and Apptivity displays in our local stores. Anybody know if they are any good? Ever since our kids got iTouches for Christmas a couple years ago, nothing seems comparable. That's all they play with. The Nintendo DS systems or PSPs haven't been touched. Our Wii and PS3 hardly get played with anymore. It's all about the iTouch and iPad in our house. So, anybody know how these new toys and things are? Do they work well? Or are they just junk? (My kids will be 9m, 3, 6, 9, 11, and 15). Thanks!
  5. I picked up 4 Sing-a-ma-jigs at Target, Wal-mart had 1, but it had food all over it. Target also had Zoobles and a set of Squinkies that I picked up. I haven't seen Squinkies since. Our Wal-mart doesn't even have a spot for them yet. None of my girls have asked for a Teacup pig, Lalaloopsy dolls, or the Monster High dolls. I refuse to go to Toys R Us due to their customer service.
