    that is 100% of the difference and 10% of the difference in price...not off the total price. So the $30 price difference would mean a $3 bonus, not $17....still worth going to get if it is not far of a drive....it's a matter or principal really.

  3. I am SOOOOO glas you guys have all posted to this thread. I just didn't think of my son's gift possibly shipping in it's retail packaging. I will have to watch the tracking e-mails to make sure to get home before him the day it comes. Alex is only getting one gift and he has NO idea what it is (LEGO Mindstorms NXT.)
  4. I was contacted last year by another GD'er who knew her local store had tons of (4 or 5) Doodle Monsters when the only ones available anywhere else were $50+ on e-bay. She offered to buy it and send it to me and my son was so excited Christmas morning to find that SANTA could find a gift that he knew mommy had looked everywhere for and not found.

     

    It does take a leap of faith that the person will pay but most of the gd'ers here are great people.

  5. Yep, Target was sold out online and in the store. But I have to wonder, do the employees really check to see if these things are on the shelf, or are they just in a hurry to get me off the phone. You wouldn't believe how long it takes to get someone from the Toy Department.

    Are you asking for the toy dept? All the nintendo stuff at our store is in electronics. Maybe asking for them would work?

     

    On a side note most employees will check when you call to ask about stock but some will not. That just depends on the willingness to the employee to do their job.

  6. I agree that the baby won't remember what he got (in our house that's she got) BUT the big brothers will. It was very important to get something good for the baby because the older boys were watching...they even checked to make sure she got a stocking and that it was good stuff.

     

    The boys weren't greedy or mean about it, they were looking out for their little sister.

  8. I ordered the Dinsey Pix Click camera at on the back of the balck friday ad (2 day sale) from bestbuy.com, it is now backordered with no estimated ship date. Does anyone know if I take the online recipt and show them the price I was supposed to pay - will they let me buy it in store for that price since it does not look like I will get my order in time for x-mas?? I would happily cancel my other order. Their website shows it in stock at my local store. Has anyone done this????
