  1. I have a wireless home security system, but it was out of necessity as my "office" is separate from the main house. We have had to replace batteries but it was no big deal- in fact, it sends them a message type thing and they called us and told us that was what the beeping was. If you live in my area of colorado I could give you a great contractor that installs ADT systems but not ADT prices.... (the $99 specials are great, but very basic- we opted to have way more stuff than a $99 special would have given us and the quote was about $800! So we were referred by a friend to this contactor that does the ADT installs but you get special rates through the other insteall companies)

Too bad.... Monterrey, Mexico is a little far from Colorado:(

Thanks for your advice....I'm gonna check Internet for some online deals or something like that...

  2. I'm not sure either. Never heard of anyone doing this.

Suggestion - Why go wireless? I really don't like wireless. You have to worry about batteries... which I don't like. I have an entirely hard-wired system and love it. Over 20 sensors throughout the house, plus 6 outdoor cameras... all hardwired plus 2 battery backups. (I've been broke into before... I'm paranoid I guess. lol) But ADT did an awesome job installing the entire system in one day. I would HIGHLY suggest doing hardwired. I think most companies will do a $99 install.

I'm looking for a wireless system because is too easy to install and my new house doesn't have a wired preparation.

I have some friends with wireless systems and they never experienced problems with battery or false triggers.

But you're right, wired is better and cheaper.....:D

  3. Hi!

I want to buy a home security wireless system for my new house, and i would like to know if are there some good deals on BF.

Do u know some store with a nice security system? Is this kind of store open at BF?

    Thanks:)

  4. In the past, when Black Friday was arriving, all my friends were excited, traveled to Laredo and always were between the 10 first at line. Obviously, we arrived one day before and we played football, jokes, laughs, told stories and all that things to make our friendship forever.:)

We were singles, and now, several years have passed....All my friends have family, one or two are in other mexican state and BF is not an option because US about 1,000 Km far away...

    I miss you guys...

The happiest thing in a BF? The ours before 5:00 am......All my friends together!!!

  5. My dear daughter (24) wants to line up early Thursday evening inorder to get a new laptop. She has not decided what store yet. I don't want to stay with her the whole time, but would like to join her very early prior to store opening. Will cause a riot by joining her? I really want to pay for laptop, This will be a surprise for her. Anyway, I am concerned that the perception will be that I am 'butting in'. What do you think?

I don' think so....considering this scenario "mother and daughter" i think people behind you at line will understand it!:D

    Good luck!

  6. Let´s suppose this scenario: Best buy will have an early bird of 10 42" LCD TV at $399. You arrive Wednesday at 4:00 pm and there are already ten people in line, so you are number eleven. You decide continue at line.

What will you feel if one hour before best buy open the doors, customer number 10 sell his ticket to someone who arrived 5 minutes ago?

  7. It is wrong because someone just a few steps behind you in line has waited almost as long as you and actually wants that item, and is therefore entitled to get it from the store without paying you a markup, or losing it to someone else who is willing to pay you. The fact that someone is "willing to give up there time, Thanksgiving, endure the weather, etc does not justify any action. Is someone willing to give up their Thanksgiving to break into a store and steal something entitled to do so because they were willing? Of course not--willingness has nothing to do with right and wrong, or legality.

I may not wait 36 hours, and those who do wait that long deserve first option to buy something, but those of us who do wait a few hours do deserve our chance to get things without paying a markup to a scalper, if not bought by one of those in front of us (for their own use). :yup:

    Have a nice holiday! :)

    Amen!

    Agree with u!

  8. I am actually going to be in line for over 30 hours. I am going to grab 1 ticket per item, which is the limit. I will probably buy about 3 of those items for myself. I am looking for a 42-46" hdtv, and maybe some cheap computer components. I will sell the other tickets I don't use. I can see how this might anger other people, but the way I see it, they are buying the time from me that they weren't willing to spend in line.

I think is not fair for people near behind you. They arrived only minutes behind you and they are losing one opportunity because you want to do business....

Remember, this can happen to you....

    Just my point of view...
