I'm looking to get a mp3 for dd12(13 in feb) and possibly one for dn13. I was going to get dd the new nano, and dn a shuffle, but have seen some others with more gb for less. I have a 60gb ipod, ds17 has a gen2 nano. Can someone let me know how good the Zune and and Sandisk Sansa are? If I can save a little and keep decent quality, I'd rather do that!
My dd (12) and DH both have a 1 gig Sandisk Sansa....we got them on BF last year. They work well enough, never had any issues with them other than it's small, DH needs a much larger one, but it was a good starter. We paid $35 for them.

I just scanned the Office Max add and it listed a 30 gig Zune for $99.99....brown only.

I'm lucky - I'm maybe 5 minutes away (if you hit all red lights) from a Walgreens and CVS in one direction; the Mall (Sears, JCPenney, Macys, Bergners), Menards, Toys-r-us, MC Sports in the other direction; just a couple more minutes away from Kohls, Michaels, Target, Kmart, Joannes Fabrics, Old Navy, Radio Shack; and maybe 10 minutes from Wallyworld, Sams Club, Best Buy, Circuit City, Lowes, and Home Depot.
We pretty much have every store close by.
I drive about an hour to get to your town. Luckily once we are there everything is close by.

All that said Office Depot has the BEST price by far on a desktop computer this year other companys are at 150-200 on there cheapest one with Office Depot being $99. That price is insane I will have another desktop this year from Office Depot.
But what will the rebates on this computer be? I need to know out of pocket expense before I go stand in line for hours and then find out it will be something like a year of vongae service. Any insight?

Yep, got it for my daughter, runs great, but she uses it for very minimal things.

I assume that you have your DSL connected to a PC somewhere in your home, and you want to share the internet connection with DD in her room? Does she have a desktop or a laptop?
Yes, she has a desktop (last years BB EMachines) in her room, ours is in the family room and her bedroom is on the same floor.

The Office Depot computer for $99 (HP CTO Desktop PC with 17-inch CRT and Printer)
Any idea on upfront price? I can't seem to locate it on their website either, but I am pretty dense about such things. Any thoughts for me?

Last year we waited out side of BB for 5 hours in the cold and got two tickes for the $149 computer. We ended up giving the second one away to some random stranger who was looking but was too far back in the line. It never dawned on me to sell it.

I agree about Lego Star Wars 2, my ds got it for his 8th birthday and he LOVES it. It was sold out in our area and we had to order it online.

We usually hit breakfast after we've gotten all of our really wanted items out of the way. Then we can hit the stores that aren't such a big deal. Last year we had a few munchies for the hours in line.

The people behind us at Best Buy had one last year. They were the nicest people and invited anyone to come and get warmed up. It was a good idea for sure.

I do, but it is $$ issues, DH has been off of work for two weeks and having next to no money come in is putting a cramp in my BF style!!

We gave our desktop to my daughter who is thrilled with it. Hoping for a $99 on this year for my son. Fingers crossed!!

Because we all have the same provider we use our cells.....free incoming and free mobil to mobil. We do use the two ways for things like amusment parks, etc.

Usually talk and last year we tried not to freeze. :-) We had taken a DVD player and put on Christmas music but the lady behind us asked us to turn it off, it was annoying. *humph*

We got new lights for 47 cents per box of 100! That is so exciting to me.....I plan on stopping at a few more stores on our weekend of traveling and get some more.....lights lights and more lights.....my inside and outside trees will be looking gorgeous!

I get great items on clearance at WM...not too long ago I picked up my son 12 pair of denim shorts for next summer, $1.00 each....who can beat that??They were marked $15 regularly so I think I did pretty darn good. End of season sales are the best time to get the deals!

We also do the jammies on Christmas Eve, its not a big surprise, but something they enjoy anyway. They both also get new ornaments each year that one day I will give to them if they want them.
We also always go to a candlelight service Christmas Eve, come home and feed the reindeer, read TTNBC and the nativity story, get cookies and milk for Santa (he has his own plate and special cup) before they go to bed.
