  1. My son likes to fish so we put in fishing lures, hooks, bobbers, line, etc. We are also going to put in hand warmers, film, small puzzle games, chalk, clay, Wonka Bars, and Lego candy, candy gold, an orange and a toothbrush. I also got a few summer items on clearance. I think I have Toy Story parachte guys, a water ballon launcher and some balloons to make balloon animals. I have more stuff than he has stocking!
  2. They can't send you the bears and then tell you that you owe money. If you placed an order for $0.00 they could either fill it for that price, cancle the order before they ship it, or write to you before they ship the bear and say it was a mistake and that you can either cancle your order or pay the correct price. It is illegal for them to fill the order and then tell you they owe more after you receive the item. It doesn't matter if it was a price mistake or not.
  3. Our local Toys R' Us opened an hour early also. It was suppose to open at 6am but it opened at 5am. we got there at 4:45 am and when they opened the doors there was onlu us and one other couple waiting in our cars. Except for Best Buy everything was dead this morning. Even Best Buy only had 250 people there at opening. It was very weird but I'm not complaining! :)
  4. I went to my local Kmart one Black Friday. There were only about 20 people at the door when the store opened. I was the first person in the electronics department and they did not have the 2 items I was looking for. Most of the people that were in the store went to the service desk to complain that they did not have BF items in stock. It was ugly. I left and I won't ever wast my time at Kmart again.
  5. I keep mine in the attic until it starts getting cold then I move them to my cellar. One year I left them in the attic till I was ready to wrap them. It had already gotten cold. When I brought them down the ones with batteries went crazy. They started making noise and I couldn't get them to stop. Good thing my kids were sleeping and it didn't wake them up!
  6. I have 2 boys and bomb bags and poppers are always a hit. I like them because they are consumable and it isn't more little junk hanging around the house. My son is into drawing and painting so I think I'll get some brushes and tubes of oil paint. Chalk is always a hit also. If they don't have a chalk board they can use it on the sidewalk/street. Other things that I look for are small craft kits, card games, puzzles, art supplies, small sticker books, and disposable hand warmers.
  7. Every year we donate to Toys for Tots. My son is friendly with a child who only lives with his disabled father. One year we found out that the boy was told he wouldn't get any presents because the father didn't have any money. Every year since then we have bought and wrapped presents for the child and his father. We also get a small tree and all the fixings for a Christmas turkey dinner. My sons help me sneak it to their house in the middle of the night about a week before Christmas. It is their favorite part of the holiday season!
  8. You can pick up a copy of the Big Toy Book at Toys "R" Us on 10/30 also. I got a mailing from them yesterday with coupons in it. One is for 20% any one item, one is to get a $10.00 gift card if you spend $75.00 or more and one is for 20% off any clothing or shoe item. Look out for them in the mail.
