  1. Anyone else notice this year that rebate items in the Kohl's ad have "Rebate offer available" dates?

The small appliances on pages 18 & 19 all have "Rebate offer available 11/26-11/27, 2015." Taken at face value, it seems any Monday, 11/23 online purchases for these small appliances won't qualify for the rebate, and folks will need to wait until Thursday, 11/26 at the earliest to purchase these items online in order to get the rebate.

The 2014 ad just listed the rebate amount and didn't state any dates

    --------------------

I jumped the gun, so disregard my above post. Rebate forms are now being added to the item listings and the rebate forms show online purchases good from 11/22/15 to 11/27/15.

  2. I don't know how I missed that Oneida flatware set the first time around! 82-pc set for $48?! We need some new flatware so I want to get that.  I wasn't planning on hitting Kohls at all because their line is always HOURS long to get to a register.  I'm hoping that since I'll be out a few hours after the sale starts maybe it will be cleared out a little bit by the time I get there.

The Kohls ad picture is showing the Oneida Castle 82-pc. Flatware Set. I purchsed this set online last BF for $47.99 and I love it. Last year Kohls went live with their onlline sale at 12:01am ET on Wednesday, so shopping Kohls online could be an option for you. I added 3 of the sale jar candles ($3.99 ea) to my order then used a 15% off coupon code (found here on GD) to reach the required $50.00 minimum for free shipping. Brad should have more info soon as to when Kohls online sale goes live this year. Hope this helps. :)

  3. Just want to remind you all to include your shipping address with your payment in case Paypal doesn't include it. I've had 3 orders this afternoon which had no address information, so if you placed an order today, check your e-mail to see if I still need any info from you.

    Thanks :)

FYI: When I used Paypal's "Send Money" link I noticed that Paypal doesn't recognize the money being sent as a payment for "merchandise/goods" and it says "shipping not required". Underneath "shipping not required" there is a link that says "change". Clicking on that link will let you select your shipping address. This is most likely why some orders are going through without a shipping address.

  4. I went about 11:30pm to pick up a few items and they fortunately had all I was looking for. But it was a total mad house and many associates were clueless. I felt badly for the customer in the checkout to my right. He was buying the iPad under the 1 hour guarantee and asked the cashier what the procedure was to obtain the $75 gift card. Cashier had no idea and called a front end associate. Front end associate also didn't know and called a manager. Manager tried to tell the gentleman the $75 gift card didn't apply to the 1 hour guarantee purchase and the customer wasn't happy at all with that answer, understandably. After a heated exchange between the customer and the manager, who kept insisting the customer wasn't entitled to the gift card, the manager threw up his hands and instructed the cashier to reduce the purchase price by $75. While this is the first time Walmart has done the 1 hour guarantee, you'd think that management would have known the proper procedure.
  5. I bought the same TV in 2006. It is used everyday and I have no problems. It is in our master bedroom and is on approx 4/5 hours each day and we have not had any spots etc. Problem we have had is with the DVR/cable box from the cable company it has been changed 2x since 2006. If I needed another TV would not hesitate to get it for my bedroom. I love it!!!!

Prime example of "your mileage may vary".... Glad to hear your set is going strong :)

  6. Any ideas on if the TV is any good? It would be a second set in a bedroom

I can only related my experience with a Westy. I bought the 32" LCD at BB on BF back in 2006 ($479.99) to use as a bedroom TV, so it really didn't get major use. After about 14 months (and out of warranty) it developed what looked like a dark water spot on the screen, just to the left of center, which grew to cover the whole left side of the screen over time. About a year ago I couldn't take it anymore and "retired" it. I won't buy another Westy TV.

But our "retired" Westy does live on, as a friend of ours needed a TV and was very grateful to get a 32" LCD, dark spot and all. He still uses it to this day but dang, I still cringe everytime I walk by that TV and he has it on.... LOL
