  1. Thanks guys. I have never had an issue and like I said I have UPS here pretty much daily. My guy drives in from the next town over (40mi) (we are a TEENY town with no UPS) and he gets here pretty late at night (sometimes after 8pm) so I HATE to make him get signatures but I sure am thinking about it...I wonder if I can add that over the phone since we don't have a local office? And I wonder if it would have helped in this situation since it never made it close enough for a signature? Still pretty aggravated that UPS claim status online says the claim has been closed but they are still pretending/stalling otherwise

I always kinda thought that over a certain amount they required a signature but I guess not!?!?

You can call them and request the signatures. I did it over the phone.

I also sometimes have them hold it at the airport and I pick it up there if I know I'm not going to be home when the delivery driver would be by.

  2. I've had several issues with UPS. I always have to call the company I ordered from and they do the whole tracer until they deem it lost/stolen and then I am either refunded my money or a replacement package is sent.

I now request that UPS get a signature at delivery. It's a pain in the butt to always have to be home, but it's easier than calling and having tracers placed and waiting.

  3. Thank you Becca!

The Toshiba gave the option to retry Windows normally or run a Diagnostic and Fix. the result was it wouldn't fix it. I wish it gave me the option to restore to an earlier date. I remember now that the Gateways we had in the 90s and 2000 would do that.

I'm sorry it didn't work. Maybe if you ask in the tech forum, someone can give you some other options.

  4. As I was getting in line, two Target Employees (in uniform, with name tags, and one even had a scanner on her belt) got in line in front of me. They each had an armfull of Pepperidge Farm cookies that were holiday packaged (at least 10 each). I knew they would be 90% off so I asked if there were any left. The lady turned around and said, "NO! We just cleared them all out!! These are on sale for $.33 each!!" The other lady in line looked at me in shock. Seriously? I couldn't believe they were not only checking out during work (maybe on break or something, but still), cleared the shelf, and then were all cheerful and bragging about the great price and the fact that they cleared the shelf to customers. I'm all for employees getting to get in on the good deals, too, but it just seemed wrong.

Other than that, I was happy with my scores.

IF the team members were on a break or a lunch, I don't see a problem with them getting the items. I do think bragging about clearing them all out and then bragging about the price was a bit tacky, though.

If they were not on a break or lunch, that is a whole different story.

I figured as much - and I'm heartbroken. The new section is tacky and doesn't interest me. I made some great scores in the Home Design section last year and was hoping for more (a lot of blank walls right now). I did see people buying it at full price (or almost full price, seemed like it went to 30% almost immediately). Then again, I live in an area with a lot of new homes and apartments and a lot of students - maybe it didn't do so well in other areas.

I'm loving the new bulk area at Target. I buy a lot of the items they are offering in the bulk packs. They are also carrying designer items. I saw Ed Hardy bags, Calvin Klein, etc while shopping last night. I don't usually buy the furniture, though.

Plus as a team member who has to stock, the bulk items really are easier to set-up and stock than Global Bazaar. :cheesy:
