  1. Hang some on the tree!!! lol

That would be cute, just tie a bunch of different little bows on them and hang them Christmas eve.

You could lay them about an inch or so apart on a towel and roll it up with the pens inside and stick it inside of a KFC chicken bucket. :sidesplit

  2. The wii comes with the console, one wiimote, one nunchuck, the Sports game, a standard A/V cable (the 3 wire, red, yellow, white thing), batteries for the Wiimote (2 AA), the sensor bar, and the plug adaptor thing. You can run it right out of the box, no extras needed unless you want a second wiimote and nunchuck and other games. You'll need a classic controller or gamecube controller if you want to buy certain games online (like the Super NES or Nintendo 64 games). You can play the old NES games with just the wiimote.

A-ha! Thanks I was in a rush to get it wrapped and completely forgot about looking for batteries. :)

    Thank you again.

  3. I LOVE that! I was going to make one too as I didn't want to fork over my youngest child to pay for one. I thought about just using a large and two smaller wreaths though. I really like the way you have the ornaments on it.

You know, if you make another wreath and attach a big red bow you can hang it over one ear and make it Minnie.

  4. Speaking of clear ornaments.. A couple years ago I made a bunch of ornaments with pictures in them. I used old colored balls and did the bleach trick from above. I used a pencil and traced around the edge of the ornament and cut a piece of paper in the circle shape but a tiny bit smaller. Then rolled it up around a pencil and put it inside the ornament and straightened it out with 2 q-tips. if the paper circle fit I would fish it out and use it as a template for cutting the pictures and would repeat as above. Then I would fill the area behind the picture with an inch or so of tinsil garland. Replace the topper and hang. :)

    If I had mil's camera I would show yall a pic. :P

  5. Yall do know that if you want clear ornaments you can make them from any old colored glass ball ornament. Just fill a tub with bleach, completely submerge your ornaments (tops removed beforehand) let sit for 5 min or so then hold your finger over the hole and shake to get the remaining silver from the inside, Then pour the bleach back in the bowl and rinse your ornaments with warm water and let dry before replacing the tops.

You might have to use a Q-tip to wipe a little excess silver from the inside of the ball.

  6. If yall look closely at the pic of my tree you will see a snowman that I made out of a real starfish. There is also a Santa and an Uncle sam but I don't think they showed up in the pic. I made them a few years ago with real starfish, acrylic paint, ribbon and hot glue.

I painted them up then sealed them and folded a ribbon in half and hot glued to the back as a hanger. They are really cute. I entered my snowman in the TVA&I fair and won first place. I got a blue ribbon and a check for $4.00, not a huge sum but it was a big deal to me seeing the other ornaments that were entered and knowing that I beat them all including my mil at the time.(mind you she wins at least one ribbon in every category she enters.. ALWAYS)

  7. Lighted Potpourri Jar

    1 Empty Quart Jar

    Potpourri

1 Strand of 35 Christmas Lights

    (Not Extra Bright)

    Lace Doily

    Rubber Band

    Ribbon

Layer potpourri and lights inside clean glass jar. Leave plug end of cord outside the back of the jar. Place doily over the mouth of the jar. Use rubber band to secure doily in place. Cover rubber band with ribbon tied in a bow.

I've made these before too. :)

  8. One year we made all of our wrapping paper. We used the rolls of brown paper for mailing packages. The kids painted ornaments, trees, angels, ho ho and we made reindeer with thier feet and hands. I poured brown paint on a paper plate and had them hold my shoulder and dipped thier foot in the paint and then pressed on the paper(making the head). Then after getting thier feet cleaned we poured different colors of paint on plates they dipped thier hands in and pressed for antlers then they painted faces with a brush. :)

This isn't just a reindeer as you can plainly see.

I made it with my hands which are a part of me.

It comes with lots of love especially to say,

I hope you have a very, Merry Christmas Day!

like this but we put the heel down instead of up.

  9. I remember HAVING to make one in art class in school. I protested it from the begining. I despised the teacher to start with then she wanted me to use my art time to make a gingerbread house that we had to display in the gym and couldn't eat because there was no telling who would mess with them while on display. Mine was the only one not finished. It was all decorated but I just refused to put it together. She got so mad but passed me because It would have been nice had it been standing. lol:P
  10. Thanks Jen, Yes they are both mine and both on opposite corners of the lr no less.:g_dance: and our lr is about 30x20. They are artificial but may as well be real due to the awful shedding. I am going to try to get one of the pics like yall have where the lights show up. Do I just turn off the flash?
