I do the Want, Need, Wear, and Read plan for my 3 year old. I also fill a stocking and she gets a Christmas Eve box with pjs, a Christmas book or movie, and a treat (popcorn, cocoa, etc). This is the first year that she has really comprehended the idea of Santa so I will probably have an unwrapped stuffed animal as a Santa gift as well.

I made more plans than resolutions. I plan to purge some items I've held onto for sentimental reasons. I plan to find two hours a month just for me. Most important to me I plan to be more present with my daughter.

Not much shopping this year as we made an unexpected trip out of town.
Went to a Walmart about 1 pm on Friday and the place was a ghost town. There were still pallets of electronics, dvds, and household door busters. Picked up the Sanyo bluray player, 2 blurays, toddler pajamas, and socks.
On Amazon picked up two of the $33 Kindle Fires and a Firestick.

The last couple of years I've joined in with a side of the family that I didn't really know growing up. The two aunts switch off on hosting it and it is an evening of homemade chili, laughs, and opening some gag gifts. Normally there are only 8 or 9 of us but it is a fun evening.

It used to be enough my exMIL. She would request a very specific item that I would purchase and she would turn around and return it. Three years of that and the next six years she got giftcards. Now it is my stepfather. If he wants something he buys it, is very specific of places he patronizes, and has way too much "stuff".

My lists are forming and a couple of gifts have been bought. This year I will be looking for deals on three bluray players,Camelbak style hydration pack, beach tent, towels, mixing bowls, and knife set.
This will be my Itty Bitty's second Christmas and I'm excited to see her excitement this year. ☺ I am doing the four gift Christmas (want, need, wear, read) for her again as well as stocking stuffers. I also gift to three aunts, one uncle, two cousins, brother, mother, stepfather, stepbrother, one family, coworkers (6), and the Angel Tree.
